A magnum opus of conservative theology

Millards Christian Theology is a classic foundational work, it serves as the textbook for hundreds of graduate level theology classes around the country. It’s theology is primarily from classic Baptist framework. However, Erickson does justice to the thousands of different viewpoints on the systematic topics therein. It’s comparable to a Wayne Grudem counterpart, only slightly more accessible for the layman.

Great book and performance. Not 3rd edition?

I love this title, and I love the reading by Tom Parks. It is unabridged. I was reading along with the kindle book of the same title, same edition (advertised) and both unabridged. But the audible book missed a nearly 30 page chunk (possibly more). I've contacted them to see if it really is the 3rd edition. I hope it gets fixed soon by Audible, because it is excellent.

My “Go-To” Theology Textbook in Today’s Troubled Times!

Probably the best, general-purpose, all-around study of Christian Theology available today! I should know. I have a Master’s degree in Theology from a fairly conservative seminary. And this was our main textbook for all the “750s - Intro to Theology I,II, and III!”I’ve put the time in and looked at all the theological treatments of notoriously difficult biblical subject matter. Erickson is the way to go!

Although he thoroughly examines all sides of our theological foundations, Erickson always picks a side in the end. He will always lean to the conservative position and that’s a good thing. Another thing, there are many other excellent works available and you should study all of them! Finally, get the Audible of this book, and begin listening - really listening - to Christian Theology!
