Publisher's summary

“I let my inhibitions go, and they fell in the wrong place. I didn’t know he would be my unraveling. I didn’t know he was 25.”

A single mother often lives by certain rules, and Angela Petrov has made certain to adhere to hers: Mom first, career second, and no man will meet her child unless they will be in her life long-term.

However, with her daughter now in college, the company she has worked at for over a decade facing major changes, and no lover in sight, Angela’s life has lost all its carefully constructed and configured organization.

When news that the annual employee Labor Day party in the Hamptons will still be held, Angela tries to bail out. However, her best friend and coworker, Autumn, convinces her otherwise.

Turns out that, while attempting to enjoy the elite Hamptons nightlife with her coworkers, she meets a much younger, tall, dark, and sexy man who offers her an escape for the long weekend. So, throwing caution to the ocean breeze, she accepts his offer of a true time-out in life, focusing only on time between the sheets with no...strings attached.

What happens when you allow yourself to let go of life’s stresses, release inhibitions, and embrace desire?

You chase regret.

“An exceptionally written novel about a woman with a neglected but golden heart an a man who deserves it. I loved this book for so many reasons, for the message, for the heart, the swoon, but if I had to sum it up in one word, Bass. This book is not just one of my favorites of 2018 but one of my all time favorites.” (Kate Stewart, USA Today best-selling author of Drive)

Cinq a Sept is the romance independent women everywhere have been aching for. Bold, sexy and intriguing, MJ Fields brings her ultimate A-game in this beautiful love story filled with swoon and heat.” (Jessica Ruben, author of Rising: Vincent and Eve, Book 1)

A taboo romance that is so addicting

Angela is a mom first. I can relate to that side of her. Her daughter comes first and no man shall ever meet her, unless they are serious. This relationship grounds this story and makes it real. Angela is a wonderful character who has realistic ideas and thoughts. As she dates a younger man, I loved the struggles she had with the age gap. It made the story more realistic and so interesting. Bass is the kind of guy that can make a woman feel amazing. I loved that about him. Angela and Bass belong together. The chemistry they have lights the pages on fire, This story has a little bit of everything, steam, laughter, and a sense of realness.

Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott bring this story to life. I always enjoy a story narrated by this team, Wen has the perfect voice for Bass and narrated him exactly as I imagined him. Kai has the perfect voice for Angela, Strong, yet sensual, Kai makes Angela seem so real. I felt as if I was within the pages of the story. THis was another amazing performance by Wen and Kai.

Amazing story

Bass is one strong romantic gentleman. Angela is one strong well rounded woman. They meet in unusual circumstances. They have a wild ride. I could not wait to see where this couple would go. I loved there instant connection and there banter back and fourth. What an amazing story.

Hawt!

The older women and younger man really was a hot love story! I so enjoyed it because it was not a cookie-cutter like many of them are! Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott were amazing narrating it! They have so much chemistry between them and it brings it out in their voices! Loved, loved it!

Romantic getaway

The story starts out strong and fun and delicious and I loved it .... THEN after the mid point, it starts down the slipper slope of the cursed "everything is perfect" syndrome. Why does an author have to ruin perfectly strong stories with unrealistic endings... Of course, we want the fantasy, but do not make it so over the top that it leaves you rolling your eyes. The characters do not have to be perfect, the hero does not need to a prince, etc... just so long as they are in love and making it work. Hate when endings are so absurb they play out like a cheesy lifetime movie.

A fabulous age-gap story

Cinq A' Sept is the first book in the Timeless Love series by MJ Fields and I loved it. I love age gap stories especially older woman/younger man and this story fits that description perfectly. The author gave us so much emotion with these characters. Their connection and chemistry was intense and you could feel there was so much more to them. Their banter will amuse you. The twists and turns will stun you. You will love every moment in this story. This page-turner truly reflects that age is just a number. Worthy of more than 5 stars I would highly recommend it to all lovers of age-gap romances.
The audiobook version of this novel was narrated by Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross. These two did a great job bringing the story to life. The pace and timing was excellent and I especially loved Kai voice. It was a pleasure listening to them narrate this novel.

Average

Every thought I have about this book is average. The story, average. The characters, average. The writing, average. The only thing that really kept me interested was the narration. I didn’t hate this book, but if you ask me about it in a week, I bet I won’t remember a thing about it.

Wonderful Story & Narration🎧 Heartfelt & Smoking🔥

I loved everything about this book, from MJ Fields writing style to the storylines and characters she created. This is the type of story that not only grabs your attention but it grabs your heart as well. There are not many older woman, younger man romance books, this book is not only that it is so much more. It is an original story that is beautifully plotted. Angela meets Joe while partying in the Hamptons, the two hit it off. She doesn't tell him her name and he calls her Brigitte. At first she held back but then decided to go for it, live by the motto she shares with her daughter “be present”, Joe seems like a nice guy, 15 years younger than her but he is a smooth talker and does not care about that. There was some great chemistry between the two, they got along so well a one night fling turned to a weekend fling. He was out when she had to leave to return back for work. Then comes some interesting twists and turns, the two meet up again, assumptions are made and there is a lot of angst between them. We learn more about each, Joe’s full name is Bass Josephs and he has issues he needs to get past. Angela is a strong independent woman and a bad ass, Bass has met his match. I loved this story and how everything played out, it is a great buildup to a wonderful romance. MJ Fields thank you for this wonderful story.

Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott are amazing narrators and voice artists. They bring these characters to life, give each their own voice and personality. They are amazing at projecting the emotions of the characters into their performance. You can hear how much heart they put into it. I loved their portrayal of these characters, Wen’s Bass was swoon worthy and full of attitude. Kai’s Angela was bad ass, strong, confident with a whole lot of heart. Both are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another awesome listen🎧
