About this listen

It was only supposed to be one night—a hot, nameless encounter with the gruff, gorgeous, older stranger.

When you’re on the run from a killer, you can’t afford attachments. For over a year, I’ve been alone, never staying in one place long, fighting to survive.

But when the tall, muscled man with the intriguing ink steps in to help me with an obnoxious admirer, we end up sharing a coffee. Coffee turns into the hottest night of my life.

I never expected to see him again.

But when I walk into Hard Burn—the best gym in New Orleans—desperate to learn how to fight, I discover my stranger is none other than Beauden Fury.

When Beau discovers I’m being hunted, I see the true depth of his protective streak. He gives me a job, and says he’ll train me to protect myself. But he also makes it clear that he thinks I’m too young, too vulnerable, and too nice for him.

Now we’re spending hours together, side by side, and it’s hard to remember that I can’t let myself get too close. It’s even harder to fight our red-hot desire.

But the man hunting me hasn’t given up.

Can I defeat a killer, and prove to Beau that what we have is worth fighting for?

The Fury Brothers: fierce, loyal, and live by their own code
Five men who grew up in foster care and became brothers by choice. They vow to always have each other’s back: no questions, no doubts, no hesitation. They protect their own…always.

Troy Duran

I love books narrated by Troy Duran. However, Lucy Rivers is one of my least favorite. Something about the way she reads the male characters gets u set my skin. She's getting better but she makes the story difficult to listen too. The story its self is good and I enjoy Anna Hackett's books.

Excellent final book!

I’ve listened to all five of the Fury Brothers, they finished it perfect with this one! Character depth and a sassy female lead…voice wasn’t the worst not the best…

Strong MCs

This Audiobook was another romantic suspense from Anna Hackett. I liked how tenacious Belle was in protecting herself. She was into learning how to fight off a killer who unknowingly was her one-night stand. I don't understand why she didn't just buy a gun. Beau went into extreme protective alpha mode when he found out why she was on the run, and I was all for it.

Wow!

Beau Fury helps out a young lady, Bell, who has secrets. They end up spending the night together, but in the morning, Bell is gone. He figures he’ll never see her again. However, she shows up at his gym shortly thereafter, not realizing that the Beau from their one night together is Beau Fury, who owns the gym where she hopes to get some training. There’s a horrible man after her; he has already murdered her best friend, and now he needs to finish the job by killing her as well. When Beau learns about her plight, he offers to teach her some fighting skills. The brothers come together to help Bell out, and it’s pretty cool the way they each support the others.

Along the way, Bell turns into a stronger version of herself, and she and Beau start spending a lot of time together. He has some issues to work through and his family helps out there as well. The ending is a perfect way to end this series! Well done, Ms. Hackett!

The audiobook version of this story is fantastic. Listeners stand a really good chance of getting lost in the storytelling. The only thing missing in this story is that authentic New Orleans accent, but that’s a minor detail and doesn’t take away from the story at all. It’s performed beautifully by these narrators.

Worthy and Wonderful

I loved it! Beau and Belle were meant for each other. I’ve never been so scared for a character in my life! Anna you got me there at the end, I just knew she went after that psychopath by herself

Hot

An excellent story to finish the series. This one is probably my favorite. The storyline seemed more cohesive & pull together. The sex was there but the story didn't seem to be straight up erotica was the first 4 were. I really enjoyed the tlake down.

The narration was good.

Beau & Bell's story was a great way to finish

Beau and Bell's story was a great way to finish out the series. It was different than the others. And yes, all the stories were different in their own way, but I felt this one was significantly different and I really enjoyed that. A gripping, fast-paced, with edge of your seat suspense and danger tale as the two fight their personal demons and try to fight their feelings. Sad to leave the Fury brothers behind...I definitely hope the spin off I smell comes to fruition so we can re-visit the family and catch up. Narrators did a terrific job of bringing the characters

Last Fury Brother’s HEA

I’ve loved the Fury Brothers series by Anna Hackett and we finally see Beau get his HEA when he meets Bells and help protect her from a killer. Troy Duran and Lucy Rivers did a great job narrating this audiobook and bringing their story to life.
