About this listen

Maryland gubernatorial candidate Caden Mitchell has achieved every goal he's ever set: West Point graduate, decorated Army war hero, mayor of Baltimore. That is, every goal but one: becoming a husband and father. That goal was dashed after his greatest love, Savannah Grace Vasquez, disappeared from his life without a trace more than a decade before. But during a fundraiser for his latest political bid, Caden spots a woman who looks just like Savannah. Can it be her? It is!

Savannah has never stopped loving Caden, so she pulls another disappearing act after the fundraiser. She has a secret that could topple his political run, and she wants to keep it under wraps: She is the mother of his son. But when Caden finds out he's a father, he wants to make Savannah a permanent part of his life.

What happens to these earnest lovers after Savannah is claimed by the hero?

Good listen

This was a cute story. The narrator was great, but this story could've benefited from having a female narrator as well.

Real Love

AWWWWW a real romantic love story.
Against all odds, clashing between the rich, wealthy and the everyday poor or working class. In spite of interference
love survived

Ok

It was a bit repetitive and could have been developed more. Overall it was an okay listen.

Good story but ...

The story was good though predictable but the two leads stressed themselves out in their own heads about whether to love or not love. I mean once you are married what is the big deal about loving your spouse. And they were in love when they were young it seems crazy that they would be as attracted to each other as they were but be so against loving each other. I also hated that she seemed so lacking in self esteem. I mean anybody just tells her she is not worthy and she listens? After the first few hours and 11 years she should have been stronger.

Just O…K!!

I’m not sure if it was the narrator, the story, or both… but I was bored most of the time!! I felt it was a bit repetitive throughout. I hate giving these kinds of reviews because I know the work is not easy 😔

Meh

The story needed a developed storyline that wasn't hurried in some places and static in others.

very slow reading

This novel moved very slow. The narrator was boring and at times had a funny accent. The story line itself was lackluster and was stretched out. this could have been a 2hr narrative not 9hrs

Nice Story..

What l liked about the book was that it was a very believable story....there was nothing too crazy going on. l also appreciated the fact that the sexy scenes weren't like other books out there were the sex is just ridiculous with people climbing walls and snatching souls. The couple in this story had a real relationship and fell in love...which was great.
What l didn't like was how slow the story was...or how alot of things were glossed over. l wish the author would have addressed the son's autism more...and had the father and son work on building a stronger bond. lt would have been nice to have a female narratior for the female characters in the story as well.
This is the first l listened to anything by this particular author so l don't have any of her other work to compare this one to. l am going to check out the next book in this series though...l want to see if l like it any better. over all l did think that this was just a nice story...not great..but nice.
