Publisher's summary

Serena Howard and Blake Russell are two driven individuals with tunnel vision when it comes to their goals. The two meet in Philadelphia, and there's instant chemistry between them. They date, have fun, and eventually fall for one another.

Will the desire to achieve their goals interfere with their feelings for one another? Will they sever ties, or will their connection be too strong to break?

Decent

This was a decent listen but the narrator drove me crazy with her wet sounding mouth and constant swallows. It was like fingernails on a chalkboard.

What a cliffhanger

Shay didn't have to do us like that with this cliffhanger. now I have to go get book 2 ASAP. The book was a little slow but I enjoyed the story

The Connection was on point

The Narrator with all that loud swallowing almost ruined it for me.
However the author brought the noise with this one!
It’s so good I’m going to buy book 2 even though I’m cringing just thinking about listening to the narrator again.
I try my best not to speak badly about anyone but….
Great Job Shay Davis, you definitely have a new fan.

Get book two right away

Shari Peele is a good narrator all by herself, which I love. Serena and Blake are a perfect example of the games we play in relationships, instead of just being honest with our feelings and intentions. The drama is mild, as it should be, but why did Serena do that… I’m very pleased with the story, you can feel every moment the couple evolves in their relationship, They just have to communicate better. Oh and be ready for the cliffhanger. On to book two

Well This Was A Good Time!!!

I really enjoyed Stay A Little Longer. It was sexy with just the right amount of drama. Serena and Blake were two people who weren't looking for love but love found them and, unfortunately, not at the right time. When Blake meets Serena, he's already applied for a position within his company at a different location. Once he and Serena start getting hot and heavy, he gets the job and is planning to move to San Francisco. Serena, of course, is heartbroken because she did exactly what she said she wouldn't do. She fell in love with a man who's virtually unavailable. Serena was willing to try to make things work through long distance but, Blake nipped that in the bud. He did not want a long distance relationship. The way he handled things towards the end was really crappy. Wining and dining her for her birthday weekend did nothing but give Serena false hope. So, I completely understand why she was so upset and cut off all communication with Blake. I have to say, I did not see that ending coming but I should have. Chiiiiiile, talk about a cliffhanger! It’s been years since I’ve listened to a book narrated by Shari Peele and I see nothing has change. Her performance was horrible. It was flat, dry, and monotonous, you couldn’t distinguish the female characters from the male characters, and she brought absolutely no life into any of the characters. The sex scenes were unbelievably cringy. They came off as very juvenile when she read them. And, we won’t even talk about that incessant swallowing she did throughout the entire book. It was so gross to listen to. The constant swallowing actually made my skin crawl. Shari Peele has over 20 years in the game as a narrator so, you mean to tell she hasn’t figured out how to control that?!!! She has been added to the list of narrators I will NOT listen to. Matter of fact, I’m not even listen to book two. I’ll just read it. Aside from the bad narrator, Stay A Little Longer was an excellent read. The storyline and character development were spot on. I can't wait to see what's in store for Serena and Blake in book two.

Great Story

Shay Davis definitely has a great sense of humor. This book was funny throughout. I prefer books to be read by both a male and female. The narrator did a good job overall. I am excited to move on to part 2.

Yeaaaaaaa

So hear me out the story was good AF! Definitely can relate to the characters got pt 2 in the queue and I’m not even done with pt1!! Nowwwwww the narrator was HORRIBLE and I like her in other books but she was NOT the right one for this book. I had to push past her to get into the book! Seems like she didn’t want to record this! It was dull and lacked enthusiasm. I was disappointed in the performance.
