About this listen

There are a million ways to end up in the Alien Bride Lottery, but it takes only one.

Every unmarried female human over the age of 21 gets entered once a year. You can also accept extra entries for legal infractions—instead of paying a parking fine, for example, you can request an extra entry. Lots of women do that. I mean, why not? The chances are astronomical that your name will get chosen to be one of the hundred or so women who get shipped off to space every year.

Even if your name is drawn, the odds are slim that you'll match up with an alien who's looking for a mate. Most lottery-drawn women come back to Earth every year and resume their lives as if nothing changed.

But some don't. And no matter what, getting drawn in the Lottery means you have to compete in the Bride Games. Guess that's where I'm heading now.

I only hope I can avoid catching the eye of one of the giant, rainbow-hued brutes whose mission is to protect Earth—and who can claim me as a mate.

All because I was Entered in the Alien Bride Lottery…

Every book in the Khanavai Warrior Bride Games series is a standalone romance. Fans of Grace Goodwin, Laurann Dohner, and Ruby Dixon will love this steamy new series featuring gorgeous alien heroes and the sassy human women they choose as mates!

Includes bonus story Christmas for the Alien Bride Lottery.

In my library as Sassy and Sweet

It was a feel good book with some funny times it’s a perfect read for 5 Hour Drive. across California… I normally go for collections, but I am a fan of Ruby Dixon and other great ladies like her… Been reading some dark stuff. This was absolutely perfect and just what I needed.

Fun Alien Game Show Romp

This is a mix of Galaxy Games, Tribute Brides of the Drexian Warriors, and Warriors of Sangrin. Future Earth is being protected by sexy aliens and they need women so a deal is made and the ladies have to put their name in the lottery for random selection to join a dating game.

This books sets the stage for the cast of game show characters that will make recurring appearances. The romance is what you would expect with just enough drama, action, and spice. It is a quick, low drama alien romance that was enjoyable to listen to and I appreciate both narrators so that helps too.

Was fine until the spanking thing

It was fine she doesn’t want to be there, completely understandable! She’s against everything including the spanking thing because of the humiliation and it was definitely humiliating.. but then she’s like oh the blue one wants to well I guess that humiliation is fine… just frustrated me how inconsistent she was it really ruins the story that they causally accept humiliation as being part of the main Turing point in the story..

Pleasently surprised

I enjoyed this book alot more than I expected. . I do not like to spoil anything, so its up to each person to decide to choise a book or not. My favorite part actually was the extra story, which surprised me even more.

More fun than I expected

Found this in my never ending list of audiobooks that I hadn’t listened to yet and was very surprised hoe much I enjoyed it. It’s a fun, easy listen with nice spice.

Pretty standard alien romance!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 💜🩷💙💚
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📙
World building: 🌏🌍🌎
Character development: ☹️😍😋
Narration: 🎙🎙🎙🎙
Narration Type: Dual Narration

The heroine: Natalie - she was in college studying biochemistry, when one night she was out celebrating her birthday with friends when this year's alien bride lottery came on every TV in the world. This was the first year she was eligible to be in the lottery, so she wasn’t worried she would be chosen but she was and was immediately beamed up to a ship to be taken to the bride lottery.

The Hero: Cav - He is a Khanavai warrior, his ultimate goal is to get into special ops, and he has applied to the team, but hasn’t been assigned yet. When it comes time for the Alien Bride Lottery this year, he is chosen to be one of the males to get a bride. He really doesn’t want a mate at this time, but he later finds out that having a human bride will help him in a special ops career and the powers that be probably put in his name for that very purpose.

The Story: The annual Khanavai bride games are a galaxy wide event. The Khanavai are an alien species who lost most of their women while at war with their enemies, have defeated the swarm and now they protect Earth in exchange for brides. Each year they take over all communications and hold the bride games which are televised and watched by everyone. Natalie is determined to do what she can to prevent being chosen so she can get back to her life.

The story was ok, though I wasn’t fond of the spanking ceremony in the bride games. It wasn’t sensual spanking but cruel spanking, a way for those warriors who liked to hurt women to have a free chance to do it in front of a wide audience. I did like the fact that Cav knew from the start the Natalie was his fated mate, so he did what he could to win her and he was gentle with her even for the spanking.

This audiobook was told in dual points of view via duet narration and was narrated by C.J. Grey and Rachel Music. C.J. Grey is a fantastic narrator with a good voice. He is expressive and enthusiastic and is able to use different voices for different characters. Rachel Music has a soft, feminine voice which wasn’t bad, but wasn’t one of my favorites either. You can’t tell she is reading, so that was good.

Love spicy humorous sci-fi

I found it to be pretty original. I also love how there is no virgin trope . I thought it was the right amount of spicy and funny

Too Cute But Series Too Expensive

This was such a fun story to listen to. There was comedy, drama, sexy time and HEA. After getting used to the male narrator's rough voice, the performance was great.
Sadly I don't think I will be purchasing any more of the series because paying $20 + for stories less than 4 hours isn't worth it for me. If you don't mind paying that much for a short audiobook, then I highly recommend.
