About this listen

Tossing her belongings into a suitcase and escaping heartbreak seemed like the best idea for Rhea Conners. She’d simply travel across the ocean to visit her grandfather in Ireland and heal. Then she’d come back. Simple. But what she doesn’t expect is to find solace and healing in the form of the O’Rifcan family and one member in particular: Claron.

Claron enjoyed his life farming the land his grandparents gifted him. He lived his life quietly and contentedly, until Rhea arrived. He’d steered clear of relationships and entanglements since his last heartbreak, but something about Roland’s granddaughter twists him up inside. Something about Rhea has him rethinking his life of solitude.

Two hearts. One chance. Can Rhea and Claron overcome past hurt to make a new beginning?

Wonderful clean beautiful romance story. I love the story, the narration, and the sweet romance.

A must read romantic story. Clean and comforting, though I would have liked for it to be much longer.

Great Story, Bad Narration

The story is great…
The narrator has a decent voice himself, but the women’a voices are awful. Like - really terrible.

Good story, but the narration....

I enjoyed the story, but the way the narrator does ladies voices is cringe-worthy. The men's voices were good.

Fun story set in Ireland

I loved the setting of this book and the accents. It held my interest throughout the whole book. I found the ending to be too abrupt, though. I would have liked an epilogue, instead of a "story to be continued_. Off to read the rest of the series.

Clean romance located in Ireland

Story: 4.5 stars

A wonderful love story about two people who have experienced the heartbreak of being cheated on and (eventually) find their own strength and then each other.

Narration: 3 stars

I’m torn about Mr. Black’s narration. I like the Irish accent, but have no idea how authentic it sounds, I’ll leave it to other listeners to debate that. But what lost him a star in my rating system was his women’s voices. Both moms sound screechy and all the younger women sound like sultry valley-girls. The cadence with which these younger women deliver their lines feels off. The male voices are excellent and the one female voice I enjoyed was Claron’s granny, so I know he can do lovely female voices. Anyway, he was a solid narrator and I’d be happy to listen to more of his acting.

Heartwarming

Claron is a heartwarming clean romance. I’m new to the author and thoroughly enjoyed her writing style and her descriptions of the setting are beautifully detailed. Her characters are interesting, realistic, and seem like old friends by the end of the book. I enjoyed the leisurely pace of the storyline and can’t wait to read the next of this series. The narrator has a soothing and gave a fabulous performance. His dialects lended authenticity to each character.

Good Story & Narration

Rhea comes to .ireland for the love of her grandfather and to heal. Finding the O’Rifcan family and them loving her, especially Claron. Heartbreak and trust was needed before true love. Good Irish story, the setting and the people. Enjoyable narration, given audio for my voluntary review and my honest opinion

Wonderful Story!

I loved this story and the fact that it took place in Ireland! I love reading/listening to stories that take place in places I've never been. I think the narrator did a great job with the Irish accents!

An Irish Family Romance

I will not summarize this story because it was already given in the description of this book and I do not want to give any of the plot away. The purpose of this review was to give potential readers information to make an informed decision about reading/listening to this book.

What I enjoyed:

• This story caught my attention immediately.
• The descriptions of locations and emotions were well done, easy to visualize, and to feel. I felt a part of the scenes.
• The O'Rifcan family felt so warm and inviting, that it made me want to visit their B & B.
• This story made me want to take a trip to Ireland.
• The friendship and love that developed between Rhea and Claron developed at a reasonable rate in a believable way.
• The narrator did an excellent job in differentiating the various characters' voices.
• This was a clean story.

I requested a free audiobook from the author. My review was voluntary and my opinions were my own. I will be listening to or reading more books by this author. I will also keep a lookout for books narrated by Alex Black.
