About this listen

After a vicious attack, Morgan Masters wakes up to find that nothing is how she remembers it. John Major isn’t the prime minister anymore, the Millennium has been and gone, and it’s been a very long time since she was in college.

When Erin’s worst fears become reality and her world crumbles around her, she has to pick up the pieces and start all over again.

Can losing everything actually be the best thing that ever happened to Morgan? Can Erin learn to forgive the sins of the past and let her heart lead her head for a change?

Or is happiness beyond their reach?

loved the narrator

Odd quirky little story. Hard to make a romance story about married people. Twist at the end. Victoria was excellent!

Couldn't put it down

Loved this one. The narrator did it perfectly. There were times that I felt some of it was just a little bit predictable for me. I figured out what was going to happen before it happened, but it was still very well done. Would strongly recommend.

Old trope but nicely done :)

I really liked the characters in this story, and I thought they kept the amnesia storyline feeling interesting. Some parts of it were a bit predictable, but I didn’t mind.

Slow storyw/ plot whole you can drive truck though

What did you like best about Clean Slate? What did you like least?

I liked that it was about two women, What I liked least is you almost never get around to the reason why the main character so nobly gives up her wife and kids before getting beaten into loosing her memories and becomes a blank slate. And from then on it sucky over the top bad drama that is just bad.

Would you be willing to try another book from Andrea Bramhall? Why or why not?

I am not sure, if they are all this bad than NO

Did Victoria Aston do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

Yes she spoke the word written very well I just sorry what was written was so bad.

Did Clean Slate inspire you to do anything?

Stay in bed an moan and bitch about how bad it was.

Any additional comments?

Pass on this story unless you enjoy bad drama.

Here Comes A Large Truck

Not a bad selection but between the usual author's theme that there's always a man to blame and holes in logic of the police investigation that you could drive a truck through, it strains for three stars. The the police would have turned up the identity of the blond in a manner of hours not days. Tristan was not credible in the extent of his naivete. Finally the fact that they decided that Erin's brother was to be left behind instead of going with the ladies; given the circumstances, was one more huge hole in the book's logic.
Positively, Morgan's character and dialogue upon waking up as a nineteen year old in 1992 was a fantastic touch as well as being greatly entertaining. Also as a story twist the use of amnesia has been done so many times it could easily become extremely trite; I liked it that the twist this time was that the amnesia began and ended at a specific point in the patient's life. The narrator has a thick British accent that was distracting for me the initial thirty minutes or so but once I became accustomed to it added significantly to the listening experience. This particular book is perhaps good for rounding out your collection but I wouldn't make it a priority.
