About this listen

The bad news? Getting hit by a cab can officially get crossed off my bucket list.

The worse news? While I’ve woken up from my coma, the man I’m in love with hasn’t stirred from his.

And the most terrible news of all? A pregnant woman is at his bedside, holding his hand, and saying that he’s the father of her baby.

Sammy Baker is a divorced, single mom trying to find her way again. With two boys and an absent ex-husband, she’s got the world on her shoulders and Legos under her feet.

Amid the chaos lives the dream of, one day, finding love again.

Though, she didn’t think that would land her smack-dab in the middle of two men.

Will Sammy choose the successful businessman who doesn’t hesitate to tell her he’s interested? Or will she go for the eligible bachelor doctor with a constant influx of women vying for his attention?

The smart choice and what the heart wants are two different things. And sometimes, fate has a way of making it so the choice isn’t ours at all.

Sammy and Noah deserves their happy-ever-after and Max Monroe doesn't disappoint.

I freaking love this story.

Max Monroe just gets it.

They never disappoint.

We first meet Sammy in Best Frenemies.
She's a newly divorced mom with two young boys full of so much vim and vigor.

Noah Philip's is a pediatric anesthesia doctor who has pretty much fallen for Sammy the first time her sister set them up for dinner at her house.

This is a whirlwind of a story that will make you smile so much your cheeks will hurt, and you won't want to put the book down.

There's quite a few twists and turns but one of the best happy ever afters you'll read.

Elizabeth Louise and Sebastian York are amazing together.

Anything by these two narrators are perfection.

a very cute listen

I liked the love story and twist. However I have to say what distracted me a little bit was the awful behavior of Sammy's sons. There is trying to be funny and then there is too far where you have to wonder if they were ever given consequences in their little lives. Im a pretty lax free range type of parent but these boys would have been on a eeal tight rope and learn some boundaries. I will always one click Max Monroe books as they are fun easy listens with the best HEAs.

Emotional roller coaster

Lil bit to long starting out, took to long to get to the meat of the story, but once there, it was a great read

Irrational MFC

I almost quit listening at chapter 12 the FMC seams kind of stupid. I hate when people make assumptions and don’t ask a simple question to find out the truth. The MMC is incredibly nice and genuine to her and her kids, but The MFC sees the MMC interact with 2 women out in public and assumes that he’s playing the field and dating all sorts of women. So she decides that a man she barely knows and only comes to town on business is a safer bet for her and her kids and ends up in a bad situation. She only sees him when he comes to town so has no idea what he’s like. Seriously she’s suppose to be a closed off single mother and instead of trusting the caring Dr she knows, she chooses to date an almost stranger. Later she acknowledges she made wrong assumptions and you think she’s made some character growth, then makes another assumption and runs off again putting herself and others in danger and I’ve just had it with her. He loves her and her children that she had with her ex-husband, but when she thinks he might have a child he didn’t know about she can’t accept that and runs off without hearing an explanation. What a hypocrite. Because everyone else in the story is so wonderful and too nice, she’s never held accountable for any of her actions. Everyone just accepts it. Noah is absolutely wonderful, but I wish he would realize he deserves better than her thinking the worst of him all the time and making assumptions while giving others the benefit of the doubt. This story is still good due to all the other characters being fun and wonderful so I’m still giving a pretty good rating I just want better from a MFC.

Great story and narration!!

Waking up in the hospital next to the man you love is so traumatic, right? But who is the pregnant woman claiming to be his girlfriend? As if life wasn’t crazy enough for divorced mom, Sammy, here comes more drama. Add in two wild little boys and a pregnant sister with a super hero dog and the hospital stay seems like a vacation. This story was a little slow to start for me but once I got into it I loved it. It was sweet and funny. Doctor Noah just might be the perfect man. Another hit from Max Monroe!

The writing was excellent and the narrators did a terrific none of bringing it to life.

This series is A-MA-ZING! I enjoyed the first two books, loved them actually, but this book…this book may be my favorite! Sammy Baker is a single mom who, after a a bad divorce from a narcissistic ex, has been afraid to mingle. Suddenly she has TWO very successful and attractive men very interested in her. First there’s Dr. Noah Phillips, pediatric anesthesiologist, who seems to get her and enjoy two her wild boys. Then there’s Gavin Evans, a business man who very actively pursues her. But only one of them makes her heart flutter, only one makes her think that having a true partner would make her life both easier and infinitely more enjoyable. Choices, choices…
As always Sebastian York is superb, and Elizabeth Louise is wonderful as Sammy.

Another awesome book ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I can always count on Max Monroe to get me laughing to the point of a stomach ache. Sebastian is on point as always and the lady narrator is new to me. She draws you in like your right next to her. ❤️
