About this listen

Clutch player: an athlete who is good under pressure and performs highly impossible plays in a quick and almost impossible amount of time.

Harper

I fell in love when I was 16. Landon was my entire world, and I thought he would be my forever. But I was young and dumb, and with one error in judgement, I destroyed any chance of a future we could’ve had together, along with our hearts.

Twelve years later and I’m going through the motions of life but not actually living. Which is why I let my friends, Bridget and Simon, set me up on a blind date. Turns out, it’s not so blind after all. Because the man sitting in front of me is the same man who’s held onto my heart all these years.

Landon

They call me a clutch player because I’m good under pressure and quick on my feet. I was also quick to fall in love. The first time it was with baseball, the second was with Harper. And for a short time I had them both.

Until I lost Harper and all I had left was baseball.

For years, I focused on my career. I had accepted that baseball was my one true love.

Until I saw her again. I never imagined we’d ever get a second chance, but now that she’s sitting right across from me, I know there’s no way in hell I’m going to let her go again.

Really liked this one

I’ve listened to a few in the cocky hero club and. The author did well staying true to the original characters in Penelope wards/ vi keelends books. Which is is good because Simon and Bridgettes story is one of my favorites The Narrators were enjoyable as well and I was happy that they gave Simon his British accent. It was no Shane East but i was happy.

Back to the story though, I this was a great story about second chances and I really loved these characters. I kind of felt like the author must have met my ex-husband.

One decision. One Choice.

Oh this book was such a delight! There was so many emotions throughout this book! There was happy, sad, and comical moments all in the perfect place and perfect for the story. I loved all the characters! The story flowed beautifully! I did not want the story to end. Another great read that I highly recommend!

Great second chance romance

Sometimes you've got to say goodbye and let go. Others, you're so connected that the universe and some nosy push friends help you find your way back together. A wonderful addition to the series.

Clutch Player

This one starts with Landon and Harper first falling for each other in hIgh school. Then things change when Landon is drafted to the minor leagues as she starts her senior year. Fast forward 12 yrs and they get an epic second chance. It was a wonderful story with the slightest bit of drama to keep it interesting. I loved the epilogue five years later to wrap it all up perfectly.

a must listen too

I loved this second chance romance . when the father of your kids doesn't step up and is a total jerk. But the lost love of your life steps in and is a better father and husband . I loved the epilogue finally a good epilogue. Things I didn't like or was confused about. what did the characters look like it wasn't tell the end that i knew Harper has brown hair and green eyes but what does Landon look like I hate when authors make me guess what ever one looks liked . also I could of swore that Ella was older at the beginning of the story then it switched to Hunter being older .

touching, fast paced, and tears

i laughed to the point of tears so many times while listening to this. i loved it! the dedication of the characters and the fact that they werent too stubborn to acknowledge what was good for them kept my attention. i didnt pause even once during this great story, i simply didnt want to.

Female narrator sounds like a robot

The story was great and kept me interested the entire time. However, I almost couldn’t finish it because the female narrator sounds like a robot. It was very distracting.
