Publisher's summary

From USA Today best-selling Author Nikki Ash comes a brand-new, contemporary, stand-alone romance about a single dad who thinks he has everything figured out...until he meets her.

Savannah

A sexy, single dad and his teenage son weren’t a part of my white-picket-fence fairy tale, but if life has taught me anything, it’s that things don’t always work out according to plan.

Ben offers me no-strings-attached sex, but we could never be stringless. He has a son to think about, one who’s very much a part of my life.

No matter how much I want to accept his offer, taking our relationship to the next level would leave us tangled in knots.

Benjamin

After experiencing firsthand the devastation love can cause, I knew having a family wasn’t for me.

Neither was being a single dad—but here we are, trying to make it work.

The last thing I need is a distraction, but then Savannah waltzes into my world, stealing my treadmill at the gym—as well as my son’s heart.

We agreed to no strings. No complications or commitments. But I’m going back on my word because now that I know what it’s like to be with Savannah, there’s no way I’m ever letting her go.

Smoothly romantic! Added to my favorites!

How could anyone not love this story? It has so many sweet moments mixed with the raw sensuality of the two main characters. Savannah is a delight! Her personality is sunshine! I enjoyed how she just seemed so natural with the child and nothing was contrived. Then her attitude towards Ben sometimes just made me smile. I liked all the ups and downs of all their relationships.

One of my favorite things (besides how romantic Ben is) is the friends and family we run across. How they are all liked to each other reminds me of a small town romance.

This is a first time author for me. She did an excellent job building these characters And making me fall in love with them. I look forward to more from her.

I listened to this on audio. The voice selections were PERFECT! Sarah Puckett is just how I imagined Savannah would sound! Michael Gallagher did wonderfully as Ben and the broody teen. They both did an outstanding job.

Stand alone - contemp romance

This is an absolutely wonderful contemporary romance listen! Dual narration was perfect! Gallagher and Puckett did amazing as the voices of our main characters Ben and Savy. Savy stole the show for me personally with her southern charm and sass - being a southern girl myself I don't have her wit tho. Ben found his life completely turned upside-down with the addition of Brody and then Savy in his life and just as he thinks he has things where he wants them tragedy strikes and it's only with Savy's strength that he'll find his way back. I love the irony of this title - No Strings as this book pulled a lot of my strings - my heart strings! Well written, amazing characters with good characters growth and a smooth flowing storyline. Great balance of sweet, steamy and laughs. I would love for this to be a series of stand alones so we can get the stories of Ben and Savy's friends and family but even without I adored the epilogue and can't wait for anything more from Ash!

This book was given to me for free at my request and I voluntarily provided this review.

No Strings

Well, this was a well-written story, I just fell in love with all the characters. my favorite part was the 1st time she met Brody the son of Benjamin. I just fell in love with how she talks to him. I think that's what Brody needed. someone to show him they care about him. I love the witty banter between Brodie and Savannah, and All the quirky shirts she's wearing while she walks on the treadmill. I'm sad to see them go I would have loved to hear more. but you guys will love this book. The narrators did an amazing job too.

Touching!

Savannah Cartwright just found out that her husband had been cheating with her best friend/foster sister, Lois. With this deep betrayal, she never wanted to be married again, but it didn't mean she wouldn't date. Her ex-husband left her destitute and basically homeless, so it's a blessing when her best friend from college calls and offers her a job and somewhere to live. Can she go to New York to start over as CFO of a family corporation? Wanting to get away from her cheating ex and friend, that's an easy answer. Benjamin Fields is a very successful, self-made man, father and confirmed bachelor. As his relationship progressed with his girlfriend, Paola, he made sure that they were on the same page about no children, but she lied to him, telling him she was on birth control. He was furious and shocked when she told him she was pregnant and with that final betrayal, he told her they were through. He still wanted to know his son, but his addiction to work kept him from sticking to his promise. When his ex calls in the middle of the night to tell him that Brody's been getting into fights, smoking and skipping school, she asks him if he can come to live with his father. Benjamin agrees, but he's unsure of what to do around Brody, but with Savannah's help he starts to come around. This is a wonderful story of family, loyalty, honesty and love. To watch as Savannah wins over Brody, shows Benjamin what it means to become the father he wants to be, and for Brody to learn to trust his family and reach out to friends is heartwarming.
Sarah Puckett and Michael Gallagher are an amazing duet. They are wonderful at not only the narration, but really making you experience what the characters are feeling. The emotions they bring to each character makes No Strings come to life.

Wonderful😩

This book was great on so many levels. The performance was perfect. The pace of the story was superb. I love that it didn’t move too fast and that you actually got to hear good and believable interactions between Savvy, Brody, and Ben. I love that these characters actually had depth to them and sounded more like people than fictional characters. Its deff worth your credit.

Sweet story with little drama

I enjoyed this story a lot. It really shows that sometimes you just click with a person and form a bond you never expected. This is what happens between Savannah and Brody (Ben’s teenage son). Ben and Savannah also meet and have some chemistry even if Ben is confused on why he likes this girl. From here it just blossoms into a sweet story with little angst and drama. I do wish the issue with Brody and his mom’s boyfriend wasn’t so rushed. It just felt like an afterthought of “oh yeah, I have to do something with this situation” then it was tossed together and deemed good enough. I wanted a bit more out of it personally.

The narration of the audiobook was just great. The narrators, Michael Gallagher and Sarah Puckett was great. They both seemed to embody their character perfectly. It was a joy to listen too.

Outstanding Story & Narration🎧 A Captivating Gem!

I loved everything about this book, from Nikki Ash’s wonderful writing style to the characters and storylines she created to the perfectly cast narrators who bring it all to life from the pages to your ears. This story not only grabbed my attention right for the start and captivated it, but it tugged on my heartstrings the entire time, too. The characters are realistic, easy to relate to and connect with, they are easy to care about and even fall for. Savannah “Savy” Cartwright’s friend, Brianne, tells her she should come to NY to work in her brother’s company, Sharp Architecture and Construction, as the new CFO. Savy, a CPA, recently divorced worked at her ex-husband’s companies and needed a job but she was not sure if she wanted to leave Tennessee, but it took little convincing for her to say yes and accept her offer to stay with her. Benjamin Fields is a successful business owner and father of a 14-year-old son, Brody, who lives with his mother. When his son acts up and gets in trouble, his ex asks Benjamin to take him in. Brody was happy to get away from his current living situation. Benjamin rearranged things and moved to his NY apartment to be a full-time dad. Using the gym in the building, he notices someone new, a gorgeous someone who he finds intriguing. I loved that scene, heck I loved every scene in the gym, I could picture it all in my head and laughed out loud every time. Savy bumps into Brody and the two hit it off and become friends, the rapport between them is great and so is the dialogue. Little did she know Benji was Brody’s dad and that he was friends with her new boss and the owner of the building where she worked. Everything falls nicely in place in this wonderfully plotted single dad romance novel, her ex-husband left her jaded and not wanting to get in a relationship again and neither does Ben, both are a no strings attached relationship types, Ben offers that type of relationship, she does not want to jeopardize the friendship they built or make things awkward for Brody, but he convinces her to go for it. I loved how everything played out in this book, the dialogue is amazing and there is a perfect balance of drama, humor, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. Nikki Ash, thank you for another amazing story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 And for the wonderful narration, Nikki Ash chose the perfect cast to bring her characters and story to life. Michael Gallagher and Sarah Puckett are superbly talented narrators and versatile voice artists. They had a complete understanding of the characters they portrayed, gave each a voice that fit that character’s persona to a tee, sounding believable and just as I pictured the characters to sound. Sarah Puckett nailed it as Savannah grasped her genuineness and bubbliness, Michael Gallagher nailed it as Benjamin grasped all sides of his personality. Both were great performing the roles of all the secondary characters as well and I loved how both took their roles, ran with it and made them their own. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the character’s emotions and projected them into their performance. These entertaining storytellers are a pleasure to listen to and their narration enhances an already amazing story to another level. Thank you for another fabulous listen.

Sweet and steamy

This was a well written and layered story. I wish we got a little more into Brody’s story before the end but overall it’s a great listen with superb narration.
