Some cases should never be reopened…

Absolutely love this series. This offering has a few plot lines that were a little bit hard to follow. Other than being a touch disjointed in spots. This is fast entertaining read and another solid addition to the series

Entertaining!

Angus did his best narrating a mediocre story that starts out well enough, then the book is over. I thought I’d skipped a section, but no - author chose to finish the story instead of developing it.

Meh

As always, Angus King's narration was great. While I liked the other books in this series, I was disappointed in this one. It was disjointed, hard to follow , and confusing at times. The story itself was uninteresting. Add to that the short length of the book. It seemed like it was written fast just to get a book out.

Disappointed

Story flowed poorly as if it had been knitted together from several rough drafts.
On the positive, Angus King has become one of my favorite narrators.

Disappointg addition to an otherwise great series

I’ve listened to the other books in the series and they were all quite good. Obviously Angus King can make just about any book sound amazing, but this book needed more help than Angus could provide. The story started out good and was keeping my attention but then suddenly it started wrapping up and making leaps that left you scratching your head. Why so short? Not sure what happened but I’m super disappointed and won’t bother with another one by this author.

Great narration/story a flop

Im addicted to the series!! I can’t seem to stop listening
I dread when I come to the last book

Love the tales of John Lommund

The story was too big and complicated to be told in 4 hours. It’s like Andrew Raymond decided to publish his outline. Especially with him killing off a character. I mean, seriously 4 hours?? With 39 minutes left I was perplexed as to how it would be tied up in that short amount of time. So disappointed. It’s a pass for sure.

Love DCI Lomond but this one is a fail
