Story
Like a lot of people, I was dealt a bad hand. I was raised haphazardly in the foster-care system and emerged less than prepared to deal with adulthood, but I tried to count my blessings and make the best of the hand I was dealt. Still, with three part-time jobs, a mountain of debt, and a shaky marriage, I kept hoping that luck was just around the corner. And then, I hit the jackpot - literally. My life changed instantly...but for the better or for the worse?

Hi there. I'm Hattie Morehead, and for a 19-year-old, I've screwed up my life pretty good, so far. I grew up in a town in Tennessee the size of a mud puddle, and I'd planned to be somewhere else, by now, doing something important. Instead, I got myself pregnant, dropped out of high school, and took a job at the same sewing factory that sucked the life out of my mother and my grandmother.

Lucas knows the perfect night entails just three things: video games, wine, and pad thai. Peanuts are a must! Other people? Not so much. Why complicate things when he’s happy alone? Then one day the apartment board, a vexing trio of authority, rings his doorbell. And Lucas’s solitude takes a startling hike. They demand to see his frying pan. Someone left one next to the recycling room overnight, and instead of removing the errant object, as Lucas suggests, they insist on finding the guilty party. But their plan backfires. Colossally.

Excellent narration! Refreshing content.
I love audiobooks, I own a lot, this was the best narration I have experienced. Such a professional and successful work!
The book itself was light, interesting, amusing and I kept on wanting to hear more.
I enjoyed it, and I recommend it for anyone who doesn’t require a heavy philosophy book but a feel-good experience.

I enjoyed it.
It was a good story with an interesting twist. I thought it might be interesting if the author wrote other books from another one who woke up from the vegetable patch. The performance was very convincing, and I actually began to recognize all the voices without being told who they were. The book felt long and at times and seemed to have lulls that I thought was just filler, but overall I really enjoyed the book and looked forward to being able to listen.

Feelgood
I was ready for a feel good book. This book was probably more of a chick lit book. it was a treat. It had humor and drama and was overall a great listen

Great story with closure!
I really did enjoy this, it told a story without leaving loose ends. However, I am one of those audible listeners who listens mainly with earbuds so if there are any other noises, they’re amplified. This particular reader had something that sounded like notification sounds going off throughout the entire book and it did become annoying especially when some of the sounds made me think my phone was notifying me of something. Also, there were two girl voices that literally sounded like Minnie Mouse and Daisy Duck.. There were so many voices she had to read, this one would’ve been better with multiple readers. The story itself got 5 stars from me.

Completely engaging.
The story drew me in and the narrator was on point. I’ll look for more from this author

refreshing change from my usual read
I have been reading murder mysteries, but each one seemed more depressing than the one before. I had to have a knee replacement, so I wanted something lighter but still had the attraction of being a mystery. Coma Girl was a great choice. the story is great, touching, humorous, and very thought provoking. the narrator did an excellent job of portraying the different characters. As I listened during the night when the knee pain kept me awake, I realized that my problems were nothing compared to other's situations.
