About this listen

Cody

I fell in love with my pen pal, T.

An initial on a piece of paper that kept me sane while I was deployed.

To her, I was ‘Butch.’ My call sign. And with anonymity came safety—we opened our souls to one another.

But war broke me and I loved her enough to let her go.

Life had other plans.

When I return home, I find my sister-in-law’s best friend is the woman I fell in love with.

And she just moved in.

Our small town is too small for the both of us, never mind having to share a roof when this secret is driving me crazy.

Tee

I hate Butch because he let me go.

Except I also love him because I imagined forever with him (even just as friends).

So, basically, it sucks to be me.

When my nonna tells me the only way to get over someone is to get under someone else, in strolls Cody Korhonen—my BFF’s brother-in-law.

Roommate. Town marshal. All-round good (delicious) guy.

Getting under him may be easy, but staying under him might cost us everything.

COME BACK TO ME is a complete standalone

- grumpy sunshine

- romantic suspense

- quirky musician heroine

- epistolary

- grovel

- veteran turned marshal hero

- fake undating

- hurt/comfort

Come Back To Me is a wordy whirlwind of emotions. That sends you on a brilliant joy ride that spans years. It just pulls you in. I must say the letters are what got me.
That aspect of the story stole my heart. Plus Cody’s journey through life had me!!!

I also need to scream from the rooftops that Connor Crais’s narration was just outstanding!!! It just made the audiobook for me.

A wordy whirlwind of emotions.

These narrators brought this story to life. I always love both narrators, but the female narrator really nailed this one! 10/10!!
I also loved T's character. She's crazy in the best way. She stays 100% authentic to herself dispite whar society/ family deemed, "normal". She is smart, loving, strong and marchesto the beat of he iwn drum. The groveling though! The groveling in this story is 10/10!! I liked the romance/ relationship building. I do wish we knew more about what happened to the dad and his war buddies sister. Great listen, hope we get the next book.

Thank you G. A. Mazurke for taking us back to Pigeon Creek. I was very excited to begin Cody and Tee’s story in Come Back to Me. I knew this was going to hook me in from the beginning. I may have a slight girl crush on Tee and her feisty personality. The small town, slow burn combined with all the family drama. I’m here for it! Oh and I LOVED the pen pal storyline too.

The chemistry between these two led to overwhelming moments, a little frustration, oh and steamy encounters too. Cody’s kindness and respectfulness to Tee, and Tee’s way with words endeared me to their story even more.

The back and forth between the supporting characters and especially with the FMC and MMC banter, delightful! I love this kind of writing, I feel even more immersed in their story because of it!

I am really enjoying the crossovers within the universes! This makes me want to go back and revisit!

What is there to say about Stella Hunter and Connor Crais….their performances as Tee and Cody had me completely immersed in this book. Tee and Cody’s vulnerabilities, strengths, determination and love are perfectly balanced with Stella and Connor’s performance.

Excitedly I was sent an Advanced Listener Copy. Thoroughly enjoyable listen!

Thank you G. A. Mazurke for this beautifully written story. You certainly have a way with words! Looking forward to what you have for us in the future!

These narrators nailed it! Funny & Sexy!! I Loved it so much!!

I love being back in the 7C's! The return of beloved characters and introduction of new ones. Tee & Cody are perfect for each other. Tee is our ADHD musical heroine who the author describes as "Nero spicy." Cody is a military veteran who is now the local marshal. They begin as pen pals not knowing they have real world connections. Tee is best friends with Zee from the book 1. She comes to live with Zee and the Korhonen’s, unknown to Tee her pen pal love is now her roommate. When she finds out Cody has some groveling to do to earn her forgiveness for sending her a Dear John letter and ending their relationship before coming home from the military. This book has all the tropes: grumpy/sunshine, romantic suspense, and some epic groveling. You will love Come Back to Me!

Amazing story & Narration

The story, the narration, is chef’s kiss. Tee will keep a smile on your face, she is sunshine, laughter and quirky, she is so easy to just want to hug and love. Cody is more serious dealing with the loss of his best friends, he is enamoured by Tee and her music. He understands and loves her quirky. After writers block, Serena came back and hit this one out of the park. The narrators have done an excellent audio with the characters.

I knew this story would be good, but I did not expect the brilliant humor. Tee is a strong, vibrant character, and I loved how her ADHD was written.
I could not have picked better narrators they both captured the main character characters personalities perfectly.

Another great story

I've been so excited for what was next in 7Cs and omggg was it worth the wait. Cody and Tee are just freaking everything and I loved them so much.

I feel blessed by the book gods because secret pen pals isn't a super common trope but it's one of my favorites and this is my second time accidentally reading it this week. This one is particularly fun given they knew each other prior to writing and Tee didn't know it was Cody until she was told and even he didn't know for a while. I love how Gemma sprinkled in their old and new letters throughout the story too, she's always so great at adding in exchanges into her stories.

While I still consider this contemporary romance, it does have a touch of darkness that I really enjoyed. We get to hear about some of our Sinners friends from her Serena books, which is always a treat. And it has me wondering if they're expanding into Canada to help contain the Wolves 👀

The audio was an absolute treat. Stella Hunter and Connor Crais were phenomenal and I loved this listen so so much.

Thank you so much Gemma for the advanced copies!

Tee moves back to Pigeon Creek to be closer to her best friend. Cody returns home after retiring from the CAF to become the new town Marshall. The two couldn’t be more different. Tee is a great mix of crazy and funny. Cody would be a good, steadfast partner for her. Now, if only they could figure out the issue of the letters they exchanged for years and the fact that Cody sent her a Dear John letter cutting off their connection. Which makes things awkward now that they live in the same house together. Will they figure out a way to be together once Tee figures out that Cody is her Butch Cassidy?

G.A. Mazurke knocked this one out of the park as usual. Tee had me in tears of laughter at times from some of her comments and thoughts. And let’s face it, the heat between Tee and Cody? Off. The. Charts. Definitely do not read right before heading into work unless you are prepared to be uncomfortable all day. I know from personal experience. Trust me.

🎧Audio Review 🎧

Stella Hunter did an amazing job bringing Tee’s humor to life while still allowing her to have the touch of honesty that goes along with everything she does. Connor was perfect as Cody as well. Cody’s pain and trauma was brought forward so well between G.A. Mazurke’s words and Connor’s voice. Audio is the way to go if you want the full experience!

Listening to "Come Back to Me," narrated by Connor Crais as Cody and Stella Hunter as Tee, is utter perfection! These two narrators brought the characters to life for me and transported me to the 7Cs and the Canadian prairies. The narrators made it easy to picture Cody and Tee as they wrote their letters to each other and brought the heat of their exchanges to inferno levels when they were finally together in real life. Cody's groveling was top-tier, and Tee didn't give in easily. These two characters were "chef's kiss."
