Publisher's summary

Healing the wounds of the past doesn’t come easy in this novel of friendship and forgiveness from award-winning author Liz Talley.

Summer Valentine has returned to Moonlight, South Carolina, a very different woman from the naive wallflower who left years before. These days she’s straightforward and savvy, determined to do right by her son, David - even if that means cashing in her struggling music career in Nashville and returning to the town that drove her away. Sure, she took a fall. But at least she now knows where she stands...

Despite her anger over the past, Summer believes David deserves a relationship with his father, Hunter "Hunt" McCroy. Though Hunt’s illustrious career has faded, privilege still protects him from his worst mistakes.

Someone else is back in Moonlight too: Rhett Bryan, the golden boy of Hollywood, who’s taking stock of his own life after a tragic accident. As his rekindled friendship with Summer quickly deepens, she must reconcile the painful history that ties her to both men - one she’s finally forgiven, one she’s afraid to love - to claim healing and happiness.

Perfect book for work break reading.

I enjoyed every minute of this book. Talley takes a difficult mom and makes it work for all the characters to have a positive outcome, in just the right way. Highly recommend reading or listening to this timely tale.

Takes me away.

I loved this audiobook, the story line ,the characters even the town! The only thing that caused me not to give it a perfect 5 stars was the unnecessary cuss words inserted, seemed out of place for such a good story.

Great Romance... Time and place made this story such fun. I enjoyed the light hearted way serious problems were felt with. Great read. D.Page

How the narrators just fit with stories.

I felt very comfortable with the issue of date rape and really liked how the son echoed his mother’s teachings when he talked with his ignorant team mates.

Come Home To Me

This one left me with so many feelings, it took me a while to pull them all together. There was some powerful emotions involved and wading through them from past to present and from the point of view of each character was astounding. Summer Valentine has come home to Moonlight to raise her teenage son and so he can be close to his father, Hunt McCroy. Also back in town is Rhett Bryan who has suffered his own tragedy in California and needs some time and distance to find himself. There is a lot of background with these three and this author takes us on a journey from past to present. All the way to the end this one had me captivated. Definitely a keeper and highly recommended!

Pleasant

The Carolinas seem to be a popular setting for love stories these days and I hope they keep them coming. It's a special place. This is a pleasant read with engaging characters. How delightful that it came as a free Prime book with audible. The narrator was very good.
