About this listen

"Do you know what a papal conclave is?"

Damon: Will is gone. He hasn't been seen in months, and the texts coming from his phone are almost certainly forged. Something's wrong. We need to act now.

Michael is ready to tear down The Cove, Rika's hiding something, Evans Crist is a threat, and Winter's father is still out there. Everyone is off in a million directions, and we're vulnerable. It's time to do this. It's time to claim our place.

Rika: A few years ago, I never thought I'd be here. On board Pithom. Miles out at sea. At a table with Michael Crist, Kai Mori, and Damon Torrance - men I now consider family.

We've locked ourselves on this yacht for however long it takes to address our agenda, and we won't leave until everything is on the table. Even things I don't want to talk about. Things Michael doesn't know.

We will find Will. We will solidify our plans, and we will remove any threats. If we survive Conclave.

Contains mature themes.

The female narrator

I LOVE this series. But I’m not a fan of the female narrator. I’ll likely get physical copies to reread another time.

Micheal and Erica….

I cried. I don’t ever cry but the f**** issue between Micheal and Erica and what he said to her….i cried, at my desk, at work. This book was beautiful. I relate to Erica so hard in that moment that I felt the words Micheal said with my whole being. Never do I leave reviews but if you read this series don’t skip this book. ❤️

The perfect transition to the next book.

Well this is one novella I was not expecting to like as much as I did! It gave me exactly what I needed as far as an update on how things were going with Damon and Winter as well as him and Rika. I was not expecting that little twist with Rika and Michael but hey I got more of Michael basically professing his undying love and obsession with Rika so I'll take it! Seriously, I can never get enough of the things he says to her about how she is his entire world. It's my favorite thing about them haha!
Oh and the engine room?? WORTH IT.

Good segway

This was a good Novela. It provided details about Rika and Michael and gave us a glimpse into Damon and Willows life. His animosity with his birth mothe is sad but understandable.

Short and Sweet!

Love when we get another glimpse into some of our favorite characters and follow along a bit further.

family or clan or cabal

This series is best enjoyed when read in order.
The Family realizes that Will is in trouble because they haven’t heard from him in a year. They all agree to have a Conclave on the Crist yacht to put all issues out in front for honesty, for transparency, and to decide on some actions. Rika’s big secret comes out.
We also get a Rika and Michael sexy scene. Plus, a bonus of Damon & Winter’s second child being born. I believe this bonus novella takes place after Will is recovered.
I’m kinda tired of Tatiana Sokolove aka Tanya Eby. She doesn’t do a bad job. It’s just a matter of preference.
York’s voice fits the males in these stories. He does a pretty good job communicating the emotions but is a little weak on character differentiation.

Intermission

The Devil’s Night Series is based on four friends and their love interests. Michael Crisp (Erika Fane), Kai More (Nikova Banks), Daman Torrance (Winter Ashby), and William Grayson III (Emory Scott).

THOUGHTS:
These books are more like a good intermission to the four main books that were written in The Devil’s Night series. They are short and give a little more insight into their lives.

I love the crew.

I enjoy this series so much because I loved following the characters through their lives and I always looked forward to catching up with them in the next book.
