About this listen

One year, two opposites, and a love that will blindside and, ultimately, shatter them.

She's an aspiring interior designer who dreams of falling in love. He's an ex-football star who thinks love is a con.

She's a virgin, and he doesn't do virgins. He's cocky, infuriating, and not her type.

She wants the fairytale. He wants freedom.

Blake and Farrah shouldn't have fallen for each other the way they did: totally, completely, and irrevocably.

Because they're studying abroad in Shanghai, and they only have one year. Because forces at home threaten to rip them apart, even if they don't know it yet. And because, eventually, they must face the most heartbreaking lesson they'll ever learn: sometimes, even the greatest love can't conquer all.

Contains mature themes.

Blake’s love for Farrah

I loved this book so much! I think it was such a good book and I can’t wait to read the second book to this series!

Heart wrenching

I actually give the story 4.5 stars because it was so sad. Great book and great story. Just really really sad. On to book 2!!

Young love never lasts

Overall it’s a very well written story. This was a very slow burn, lite spice read and was a bit underwhelming after the twisted series. For the genre it’s described well and the characters development was enduring

A good book

This was a really interesting book and I enjoyed the audio. Some things that happened made me unhappy, and its not really memorable. Compared to the Twisted series, you can tell this is an earlier book for Ana Huang since the writing is sub-par.

The voices!!!

Just not my favorite storyline to read or listen to. I am planning to read the second book because I need to know what happens, but the story in general wasn’t one I would gravitate towards.

Sad Study Abroad

I enjoyed the performance, but the plot and characters were not for me. I found the plot mundane and somewhat boring. It felt like any other average college romance. The fact that I didn't connect with any of the characters and felt like they lacked depth until the end of the novel didn't help either.

Not a bad story, but definitely not for me.

OUTSTANDING!!!

I was so submerged with their love story and so mad at Blake for not letting her know what was going on.

Good read

It started a little slow for me but picked up about a third of the way thru. After that point I couldn’t put it down. Excited to read the rest of the series.

This was not good

I really disliked this book, I just don’t understand the whole things about “I’m not good enough so I’ll break your heart now” is so annoying and I hate it. But I had to see how it ends. I’m so annoyed.
