Publisher's summary

I am complex. My love is all-encompassing. And when it comes to my heart, there is only one rule: Don’t mess with what’s mine.

Until the age of seven, I was Joel Alexander Donovan, son of Jimmy. The man who terrorized a town and made its citizens fear the very ground he walked on. Including me, the day I realized that ground ran red with blood.

At age 18, I became Priest. A man without a past. A man determined to right the wrongs of my father. A man who never believed anyone could love the son of such a monster.

But then a thief stole my heart. A sweetheart lit up my world. And I forgot for a moment you should never turn your back on your enemy.

And thus begins a lesson to those who would seek to harm: Never underestimate what the Priest will do to protect the Princess and the Prick.

Love Love Love

Priest was always my favorite, but hearing his story has solidified that. He's so misunderstood, but he's loyal and loves hard. And Julian and Robert makes him a better man. Love these 3.

Bless me father!

Phew this was HOT! I think Priest is my favorite. He’s such a tough Alpha male who is really a sweetheart. I love him. I like how each book is a bit different. I liked seeing where Priest came from and why he is like he is. Great story with super sexy sexy times.

Priest Stole My Heart

Ah, Priest’s story was just so amazing. All of the stories of the Confessions men have been amazing. However, I have to say that Priest stole my heart! It wasn’t what I was expecting as I was such a huge Robbie fan. Something about Priest just grabbed at me and hasn’t let me go since the start of this series. Priest’s story was everything I hoped it would be and more. It was all the feels - sexy, sweet, sad, shocking, amazing. I’ve both read and listened to this series and I know I’ve gushed about it in other reviews for these books, but Charlie David did such an amazing job. The narration really made me fall more in love with this series, if possible. He truly brought these men to life for me. I can’t wait for their Robbie, Julien and Priest’s HEA.

Best book yet! Thanks Ella and Charles David!

As an avid fan of Ella Frank's works, I have waited for this one since I read it on release day. Ella wrote a great book, and Charles David has delivered on Hell of a read!. His narration was powerful when needed, and when he delivered the one line asking Jimmy 'What the Fuck he wanted' , he cemented by adoration as the voice of Priest. Even though I knew the story, it was as though I didn't from the heavy emotions and reactions I had to the performance. Already on my second listen and loving it.

This book, this man, these men...

The third installment of this story is by far less full of sex scenes compared to the first two books (but the ones present are, as usual, droolsworthy...), but it it an evolution story so full of feels and action, too, that it keeps you hanging to every word!
And I am so glad it isn't over, yet!

Priest

This is the third book in the Confessions series. The last book ended on a shocking note. Just when Robbie felt as if he finally belonged with Priest and Julien, BOOM. Another bomb dropped in their laps. Priest's past has finally caught up to them. This book definitely has the edge and drama. This series is one of the few that I have listened to more that three times, and it still gets me in the feels. Charlie David did a fabulous job narrating this book.

Lovely, intriguing with an happy ending. 😊

Priest, the man who started this altogether relationship, strong man who we didn't imagined how traumatic his childhood was. His baggage was huge as he said and Robbie felt down ,with his own insecurities. While all of them are knowing each other and romantically are expressing their feelings, again they might've to protect themselves from the past and fights to get the happy ending.

Sighs. I love these guys

I knew Priest’s story was going to shred me, and it did. What he went through as a child tore me up. Jimmy was just an evil piece of shit and deserved a slow death. So this book picks up where Julien’s ended and I think that Robbie’s reaction was way OTT. He acted like Joel was the evil one and not the innocent son of one. And when did Joel even have time to tell him his backstory? They just came off of Juliens. But I’m glad that it didn’t get too drawn out and he came to his senses, though he did act rather cold towards Joel. Robbie should have told them what he was feeling. To make this relationship work, you have to be honest with your feelings. Drunk Robbie cracked me up. What the boys do to show Robbie exactly how much they love and care for him made my heart melt. What happens in the later part of the book had me on the edge of my seat and very fearful. I’m so glad it was resolved the way it did. I can’t wait for the next book and they finally get their HEA which they need. Let me talk about Henri for a moment. He needs his own book with his own boy, or two. It never even accrued to me on who he was. But I want more of that tattooed bad boy, who is hiding a heart of gold, I just know it.

***The life of Joel***

Charlie David is a great narrator. I'm glad he is the narrator for the entire series.

Joel "Priest" Priestly is my favorite character in this series. He is known for his gruff no nonsense attitude which makes the moments he drops his guard so much more rewarding.

This installment of the series takes us deep into the dark past that has created the Priest we know today. This book was amazing and I fell a little more in love with Priest.

I love these 3 men.

Robbie, Julien, and Priest are one of my top relationships/throuples? Ever and I have loved their entire journey together. This one is Priest’s story, and we learn all about his past and why he is the man he is today. I loved his intensity, his devotion to his men, and also - karaoke!!! Must be my favorite thing, imagining him and Julien serenading Robbie. So many great moments in this story, from making up with Robbie, expressing their love, Julien’s restaurant opening (and the cameos from Logan and Tate never hurt!!) to the action filled ending. I just adore this series. I think Charlie David does a great job narrating. It’s weird hearing Logan and Tate have such different voices but I love his voice for our trio, Priest especially.
