I wish all audiobooks were this good

As I go through the series a second time I still find it very hard to put down. To give Susan Ericson a five star review, doesn't do it justice. Many performances that surely deserve perfect reviews do not come close to the performance of these books.

It is easy to forget that this is just one person. The voices and characterization are so amazing that it feels like your listening to a full cast production.

The story is so character driven, that the futuristic setting melts away, although JD Robb's (Nora Roberts) vision of the future holds up 20 years after this story was written.

The entire in In Death series is a shining example of what an audiobook is, can be and should be.

Great Read

This book had energy from beginning to end. I have to say Peabody has to be one of my favorite characters of all the books I've read in the past 😊

Great book in great series

First let me say the narrator does a fantastic job with voices and characterization. She is one of the best I've heard and that is saying a lot.

I love this series and this is one of my favorites so far. The continued growth of the relationship between Eve and Roark is fun. I am half in love with Roark myself!

The best thing about this book is the plot development. Ms Roberts obviously did a lot of research in the weaving. It is rare that I find a book of this length that keeps me fully engaged from start to finish. I highly recommend this book.

Robb does it again

As always I loved Nora Roberts writing as JD Robb. She makes Eve Dallas shine as a woman finding herself and still growing as an adult. Her characters always come alive!

Eve Dallas even with the romantic overload is good

If you could sum up Conspiracy in Death in three words, what would they be?

Tough NY dick

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The unconditional support from our heroine's associates

Any additional comments?

This was a very enjoyable yarn, placed in the future but intelligently balanced with the never changing nature of the human condition

Book 8 of the Best Series Ever!

The 'In Death' series, written by J.D. Robb & narrated by Susan Ericksen, is a futuristic suspense series. The story is set in mid-21st-century New York City & it centers around Lieutenant Eve Dallas & her billionaire husband, Roarke.

My husband & I both love all of the J.D. Robb, 'In Death' series. We first began listening to them when they were on CDs. We've listened to the entire series, in order, three times so far! If we're driving somewhere, you can be sure Eve, Roarke, Peabody, McNab, Capt. Feeney, Mavis, Dr. Mira, Nadine, Summerset & the rest of the gang are in the truck with us. We love all of the major characters & look forward, with anticipation, to the new audiobooks that come out in February & September every year!

If you're looking for an awesome mystery series, a little romance with a bit of the futuristic thrown in, then you'll love this series! Believe me, you just can't go wrong, but be warned... once you get started, you'll be hooked!
