Publisher's summary

Barbara Ann Brennan, founder of the Barbara Brennan School of Healing and best-selling author of Hands of Light and Light Emerging, is one of the most influential healers and spiritual leaders of the 21st century. Now, in her latest book, Core Light Healing, her work continues with revolutionary new information on working with the creative process and the fourth level. The fourth-level, or astral, world bridges the creative pulse from the physical to the higher levels of reality and manifestation. Core Light Healing also chronicles Barbara Brennan’s life journey and personal experiences.

In Core Light Healing, you will discover:

  • The nature of the creative process from the Human Energy Consciousness perspective
  • How each of us creates blocks in our energy fields; how blocks look, interact, and ultimately cause dysfunction in our lives; and the process involved in the clearing of blocks and releasing our creative potential
  • How to develop and work with High Sense Perception and its role in facilitating the clearing of blocks in our energy fields
  • The nature of fourth-level reality and its vital role in the creative process
  • The fourth level as it relates to healing relationships and the cord connections that underlie those relationships
  • And much more

Could have selected a better voice

The book and the content is great, but the voice of the narrator is simply annoying. I almost quit on the book the first one hour.
I'm glad I didn't because it's a really great book, but the narration definitely took away from the experience.

Must read if you interested in Barbara Brennan’s work

The book has some extremely interesting stories that are personal. I feel like I get to know Barbara’s life more. The narrator is not the same as the previous two books but I felt like she actually sounded like Barbara as I had heard Barbara speak on interview which was posted on youtube. definitely must read or listen if you interested in energy work and interested in Barbara’s work.

Excellent content but narration is a deal killer...

Eric’s review previously is spot on. I also have all of Barbara’s books and am quite interested in the subject matter discussed herein. But, if I weren’t familiar with her work and know with certainty that she has endless wisdom to impart, I wouldn’t have lasted five minutes with this book. Narration is akin to nails on a chalkboard. Unfortunate.

please consider another professional voice talent

There is a specific skill in reading and presenting information in an audiobook. This reading lady is a member of the author's staff - very talented but not a professional voice talent. Her american accented drawl voice tone, pace, intonation, understanding of complex or foreign language aspects impairs the conveyance of the excellllllllent material.

I found some solace in listening at 1.5x speed ;)

Publishers: I'd happily pay again to get a professional voice talent experience. It's important.

Wonderful

Lisa did a great job narrating the book. A little slower reading speed would be optimal.

Valuable

Great source of info. I also enjoyed listening to it at a slightly higher speed, except for the appendix.

I was excited for this book but...

I own both of Barbara Brennans' previous books "Hands of Light" and "Light Emerging" and was looking forward to this book for some time. The physical book came out almost a year ago and I don't often have time to read so listening in my car is the way I usually go. Once I saw this book was available I got some more credits and added it to my cart. My first thought was that the former Barbara Brennan student Lisa VanOstrand was just doing the intro and "I can't wait for the professional narrator, or at least someone with some experience doing audio books, to come in and read the rest of this book." After hearing Lisa spend nearly 7 minutes reading through the table of contents which is mostly her saying a bunch of numbers and occasional words I realized this was not going to happen. You can absolutely skip the first several chapters up to part 1.

I'm sure Lisa is a good person and I don't have anything personal against her (I don't know her, how could I?) but she is clearly not the best choice for narrating an audio book. Mostly, I find her slight southern drawl, emotionally detached, kind of strained, and somewhat nasally voice irritating to my ears. It sounds like a student simply reading a book in class with little enthusiasm for the topic. She even occasionally struggles and pauses with some of the larger words. The information in this book is not exactly all new material but I am still really interested in this topic the information presented was intriguing. However, it might be just me but the narration is so irritating I can only do it in really small doses and continually think I might not even finish the audio book. I will most likely buy the hard copy someday and read it myself as I really don't know if I can listen to the terrible narration. All in all the book itself seems to be solid and full of useful information but the narration is too annoying for me to give this book a good rating.

Narrator (reader) did not work for me

I found the narration so grating I couldn't keep listening. There is an odd monotony to the reader's voice, along with a nasal tone, and some over-ennunciation, like it's hard to get out the words. I can't grasp the meaning of the text with this reading style, which makes this audiobook aggravating and useless to me. That's too bad, will just have to read the book to myself one day.

Bad voice for narration!

I have both of Barbara’s previous books and loved them! I would have enjoyed this book also except for the narration, the wrong voice!
