About this listen

Best-selling author, Lexy Timms, brings you a firehouse romance so hot, it's sizzling!

Lieutenant fire fighter Sam Evans refuses to believe his chief's, and everyone else's, belief that the girl he's fallen for has been murdered. When all the evidence seems to prove she's been killed by the arsonist, Sam stands firm in his belief that she's alive.

Proving it is the challenge he's up against and he will risk his job, his life - everything - to verify it.

Becca Taylor didn't think life could be any more challenging after she lost her brother. Now she's in a fight for her life and she will do whatever it takes to survive.

This story was well written. The characters developed. We have a female firefighter trying to solve a series of arsons, w no help from the PD. Eventually, she's kidnapped by the arsonists, who stages their deaths. Her firefighter bf does not believe that she's dead and keeps searching. Needless to say there is lots of drama, dirty cop included. Had a difficult time liking Becca...really, who goes out on a date w a guy while sleeping w another (especially since that guy declares his love)? Sam was a great guy who never gave up. Eventually got the HEA. However, like some other reviewers have said, this could have been one book instead of broken up into three. Doubtful that I'd buy another three from this author again.

Love romance suspense!

This is the final installment of this series. First, it should have been one book and not broken into three parts. Too much investment of time and money for a clearly obvious outcome. For me would have been so much better if less hyperbole and more concise. I found myself fast forwarding some of the repititious pages. I mean we know how crazy Luke was. Enough already. And the issues between the cops and fire department. Again seemingly not uncommon, but pretty sure none of them would have passed the psych exams let alone risen to high rankings let alone gotten away with what they did for so long. Some of the characters were so annoying it was painful to listen hence the fast forwarding. Not sure if I am going to listen to this author again. Bottom line, concept great, execution not so much. Just my opinion and I've never written a book so take with a grain of salt.

Long drawn out story
