Janie Parker is in love with the boy next door, but he's dating Miss Popular. That is, until she wraps her car around a tree and bites the dust. Just when things settle down and Janie thinks that she might have a shot at going to prom with the boy next door, Miss Popular comes back from the grave, and she's one crazy ex-ghoulfriend.

Quite a Surprise

The story is about the typical girl next door who is in love with the neighbor boy she grew up with. He is in love with the bitch cool girl group leader. Throw in a little death, magic and ghouls and you have this book.
The premise was cute but wow the story was ridiculous. Suspending disbelief is obviously necessary but this takes it way too far. I almost stopped the book several times but it was like watching a crash or train wreck. How do you look away?
Steer clear unless you are good with preteen, gushing makes no sense convolutions. This is a true dude.
Preadolescent story

Any additional comments?
Really good narration, funny and very likable main character. The story is YA, so it's not too deep and you can't think too hard about it, fun none the less. Mean girl dies, comes back to jack up prom for the nerdy girl next door. Short and sweet.YA zombie jacks up the prom
