About this listen
Read by the author.
As women, we're often told that we're entitled or unrealistic when we want to create a life we love. We start hearing this message from a very early age, and by the time we're old enough to know what we want, we've also been taught to doubt our instincts and to see selfishness in all our longings.
This book is the antidote to those voices. . .and the way forward.
Writer, speaker, and podcaster Stephanie May Wilson has helped thousands of women shrug off the pressure of what they think their lives are supposed to look like and take on the next big decision or life transition with intentionality and confidence.
Create a Life You Love is a warm, passionate guide on how you can rediscover your own authority and build a life you're finally excited to live. You'll learn how to:
- Define yourself on your own terms by setting aside societal pressures that tell you who you're supposed to be.
- Feel empowered to make your next big decisions with confidence and clarity.
- Build security and peace in both who you are and the season you're in.
Through stories, exercises, and hard-won wisdom, Create a Life You Love will help you untangle your own expectations from the expectations of others and get inspired to at last pursue a life that you're excited to wake up to each day.

Practical and validating in so many ways!
So much of what Steph writes about hits home personally. I wish I had that friend who pulled me aside to say “ You get to choose!” But as a 30-something, I’m learning exactly that. This work is validating, holds space for grieving, and speaks into those fragile places with gentle reminders that each day is another opportunity to create something you love and look forward to.
For the girl who feels anxious about all the decisions ahead of her, or the girl who finally has space (and quiet) from the opinions and critiques of family/friends & everyone in between, and especially for the girl whose in the middle of her everything era feeling like she’s carrying the weight of the world and wondering if it will ever get better… this book is for you. It gets better🫶🏼

A treasure
This book is a beautiful treasure! I read a few other similar books about creating & pursing goals, doing your thing without caring with other peoples think, but there’s some thing unique special and comforting about Stephanie’s voice! She keeps things so simple and beautiful and relatable. With her own story in woken in these pages it’s like hearing from a big sister as well as a cheerleader saying you can do it. The how’s are so practical! It makes creating a life you love 100% attainable. Thank you Stephanie for giving us permission to be our very best selves !!!

Thank you, Stephanie!
As a people pleaser and first born perfectionist, this book was vital. I needed to reevaluate the sources in my life. Whose opinion am I letting run my life? And am I okay with that? How do I figure out what I want? Stephanie walks you through being more intentional about your life as a young woman and reminds you to shake off family and societal expectations and pressures. I’m 33 and I thought the book was very relevant for this time in my life.

For very young adults
They should really put recommendations for target audience as very young adult. I didn’t find it relevant at all at 43 years old

Targets Young Adults
This book is more for people transitioning into adulthood. Would have been good to know before purchasing the book. Plus, I wasn't looking for a history lesson on womens rights.
