About this listen

Witches come of age when they turn eighteen-the age where they reach the full potential of their power and magical abilities.

Cricket Kendall's birthday is a little more than a month away. She's just moved to Emery Ridge, Colorado, for her senior year of high school in the hopes her eccentric aunt, Aurora, might help her learn all she needs to know about becoming a full-fledged witch. Just a few days after moving to her new town, Aurora introduces Cricket to a young werewolf from the local pack.

Theo Ashbrooke is funny, charming, and super-freaking-hot.

Cricket and Theo connect right away, and it doesn't take long before they're spending almost all of their time together. The only problem is, Theo has two equally hot best friends:

Hollis Wakefield and Cas Seymour.

Contains mature themes.

Great Story...

Loved this story when I read it the first 4 or 5 times but to listen to it waa sooo good.

Thoroughly enjoyed the female reader however I found it a bit difficult to get in with the male reader. I felt some of the guys voices he was doing just didnt work. This did not detract from the story though.

Look forward to listening to the other books.

Loved!!

I’ve loved this series since following on wattpad (and it has only gotten better btw!) With life being so busy now though, my main form of “reading” is audiobooks so I can continue getting work done. And now to have one of my absolute favorites narrated so well, I’m so beyond happy! Both narrators did such a good job and I’m excited for more!!
The characters, pace, descriptions, story are so well done. These books are my go to for happy feels!

Love It!!

I have been following this author since before she was published! I love this story, and have read it in e-form more times than I can count. When I found it on Audible, I squealed in glee! I love Monica King for Cricket- she sounds just like what I imagined Cricket would sound like. It is harder to here a single narrator for all the guys, but I wouldn't cut any POV in the story out (for one, it wouldn't be the same story, for another multiple POVs are one of my favorite things.) I love Chris Chambers for Hollis though. Please give this story a shot!

Excellent Listen

My review is simple - just a great listen. Multifaceted characters, great word building, great story that's not one apocalyptic tragedy after another, quality narration, and multiple view points. It's a 4 book slow burn and could be 3 bigger books. This is how poly relationships are when handled maturely and with love.

My 2 critiques are, first the time line is absolutely impossible and nonsensical but doesn't take away so much that I wouldn't recommend. I am a Colorado native and I love the backdrop, but school which is almost all block schedule (point to author) doesn't start in July OR August isn't 7 weeks long. Second, the male narrator kinda pulls me out of the story at times. He says baby like Butthead from Beavis and Butthead...I laughed for a few minutes the first time. He also makes Hollis sound developmentally challenged at times. He speaks very slow and deep like it's a cognitive thing (maybe just me because I have experience). He's not bad, but this would be 5 stars across the board had the male narrator used his Theo voice style more.

Love the story, but wish the male narrator ???

Never thought I would love this type of book, but I do! The storyline is interesting, but I find myself longing for a better male narrator. looking forward to the rest of the series.

Not sure if moving on to next book

Though parts throughout this story were enjoyable, I do agree it was drawn out and out of 11 hours wondering if she’s mated, we’re left with basically nothing. I’m guessing we won’t know until another 5 hours in the next book. Still deciding if I want to get into the 2nd book. It has potential but unsure if I want to make the leap

Loved this book

I have been wanting to dive into this series for a while now and the release of the audiobook was the perfect moment for me to start. I think the narrators did a great job giving a voice to these characters.

I loved how this book had not only POV's for the main characters, but we got some insight in side characters too, which was what pulled me into the book even more. I am invested in Cricket now and I can not wait to discover more in the next books. This was an overal very sweet read, very refreshing since I'm over the abundance of bully/enemies to lovers tropes. It's one of the reasons I love reading Willow Hadley for sure, as she is one of the few who write books like these where I can just take a breather and escape from reality.

Good story, male narrator grating

Easygoing happy wolf/witch story
Female narrator is easy to listen to
Male narrator is super dramatic, sounds much older than characters and you can hear his breath intakes on each sentence, he sounds like he is doing a stage play. It was anxiety inducing at times to listen to him.

Thank you!

Thank you for allowing audible to make this book available in their “included with membership” selection. Because of this, I was able to discover another amazing author. After listening to this first book I simply had to get the next book, and then the next until I listened to all that was available for this series.
