About this listen

Part riveting police thriller, part spellbinding mystery, Crimson Park is a cleverly crafted, must-listen, tale of savage revenge and retribution.

Nothing is as it seems in this novel rife with stolen identities, two-faced witnesses, and headless torsos. Following their spectacular success in solving California’s worst serial killer case, a case that had languished unsolved for 15 years, Sacramento’s newly formed cold-case division detectives - Stan Wyld and Jake Steiner with I.T. expert Mallory Dimante - find themselves the toast of the town.

Anxious to move on from the rampant publicity, they take on a simple missing person case. But their search for missing Hollywood film director James Marston pitches them headlong back into the malevolent world of serial killer Ruby Everheart - and into the lives of the killer’s last intended victims, 14-year-old Michael and six-year-old Jessie Cooper - two kids who unknowingly possess a secret that will ensnare everyone in a deadly game of cat and mouse with an evil far worse than Ruby Everheart.

Cimson Park

Excellent book!I really enjoyed it!Our friends are still trying to figure out who killed Mr Marsden.inger prints point to someone impossile. With leaks in the department and horror every where, the kids are still trying to get to Arizona. James Romick was a fine narrator.I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.'

In short, I'm hooked.

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

I began listening to Crimson Park with a level of trepidation. I enjoyed the first book so much that I prepared myself for a let-down, as book twos are all too often less than that which begat them. But there was no reason to worry myself, as Crimson Park not only accepted the mantle from Olive Park, but rather grabbed it forcefully and ran away at top speed.

Narrator Romick does a GREAT job with the narration. It's gotten to the point where, were I to actually read a Booth book, I would hear Romick's voice in my head the entire time.

In short, I'm hooked.

I liked the first book, Olive Park, because of the detectives in the
cold case dep't now called the OIG- ongoing investigations group.... so I grabbed this 2nd book in the trilogy as soon as I
found it in new releases. (It can stand alone just fine) Good detectives working on good cases.

Decent Follow Up

A lot of fluff, but ramps up over that last 2ish hours. overall a decent follow up to book one and leaves you wanting to jump into book three right away.
