probably the best thing I've ever listened to

I loved this book so much. It brings about so many emotions. I fell in love with different animal characters and wild places and had my heart broken so many times.

A prayer for the Kalahari

I loved this story. But I'm very saddened by the plight of all African wildlife, as it tries to deal with runaway climate change and unbridled human population growth.

Terrible narration

Great story well told. But the narrator's voices were very hard to listen to. Annoying intonation to their sentences. I almost gave up many times but the story was compelling enough that I looked forward to each chapter and hung in til the end.

Experience the Kalahari With Mark & Delia Owens

My husband and I loved this book. The retelling of the Owens’ experiences while living in the Kalahari was mesmerizing. We learned so much from their descriptions of the animals, their habitats, behaviors, and threats. This book helped to solidify our decision to celebrate our 50th anniversary on a photo safari in Africa!

I fell in love with this story

I delayed buying and listening to this book for several months as I thought it would be either dry or way too depressing. It was an amazing story of dedication and love of the Kalahari wildlife. I highly recommend this book.

My 3rd Reading; I Love This Book.

I read Cry of the Kalahari soon after it came out originally. Read it again when came to Kindle, and again in the Audible version. I recommend this highly to wildlife, wildlife behaviour and adventure lovers. A remarkable story. I recommend Mark and Delia Owens' other books as well.
