About this listen
When Max flew away from Anna in a blazing stream of flame, she was determined to forget the shape-shifting, fire-breathing dragon. But five years have passed, and still his memory leaves an ache in her heart. A memory that Garrick Flynn, her childhood friend, would love to erase. When given the chance to travel to the city, the center of medieval life, Anna jumps at the opportunity. But danger and intrigue are never far away as she joins the royal court and serves as companion to the queen. Is it possible to have a second chance at the deep and passionate love she once scorned?

Story
Mav disappeared before I could ever tell him about the child I carried. I’ve had years to get over him, and I’ve tried. But the second I see him again my heart lurches and it’s like all that time evaporates. I still burn for him, even though I know it’s a bad idea. I try to remind myself about the bad things: his possessiveness, his quick temper...but he’s different now. More mature. Protective. Settled. And hiding something. Something bigger than the child we share.

Excellent!... But not the end?
I was very glad to see that Max had acquired enough patience to give Anna enough time to pull her head from her backside. She was starting to become very annoying in this book because she was constantly wondering off to take a walk and getting into trouble. Where I come from one plus one equals two. If you take a walk and always get into trouble stop taking walks! But then that would have ended the story much too soon. I loved the Intrigue, the Royal politics and the queen was always a hot mess. Just when I thought the story had ended I see there's another book to the series. I shall have to find it forth with and continue my adventure with the dragons.

"Love Finds a Way"
I read the e-book first before listening to the audiobook. I was hoping my opinion would change upon listening to the drama unfold vocally, but it did not. First, I am a fan of the entire dragon series and own all of the e-books. Ms. Hopkins is an outstanding creator of fiction and not only draws your attention, but keeps your attention. She covers minor details that help bring each aspect of the story to life for a reader. But, sad to say the details of court life were absolutely tedious and unfortunately drove me to boredom. Secondly, once the story brings the two main characters together (Max & Anna), that is where the story is electric, because of the renewal of a relationship long thought dead. I would have rather known what Max was doing in a far off country, than listening to the petty sniping of women in court. Third, Rupert got away with too much treachery, I can't believe Alfred was so blind to the machinations of his brother. The narrator was ok, but I would enjoy hearing the dragons voiced by a male narrator. This narrator did not hit the mark successfully trying to vocalize the men. I must admit that I think I can do better voices in my head as I read the e-book, so I will probably not listen to any more Dragon audiobooks, unless there is a male & female narrator. Yet, I am thankful to the author for such a wonderfully written series. I will continue to read them many times over in the years ahead.
*Please note that I received a "complimentary copy" of this new audiobook from the author in exchange for an objective review.

Once a brat, always a brat?
So many good things in this story and yet, after 5 more years, Anna still hasn’t outgrown being an idiot, and hasn’t learned her lesson. It is so infuriating to listen to more and more of her bad decisions and immature behavior. Instead I will praise how sweet the teenage dragons were handled, because that was adorable. And, the narrator is great.

Great dragon romance.
I really liked this book. I enjoyed being able to listen to it while working or driving. Overall I enjoyed the person who was reading. She helped gave life to the characters. I also like that it is the same woman reading as the last book in the series. I have read all the books in the series before but being able to listen to them was a great experience and overall made the story come to life.

Lots of plot twists, fun read
I read the first two books in this series in Kindle but listened to this third one in the audio version. It's a fun read--a fantasy dragon world superimposed on a medieval world. I ended the second book knowing what the third book would cover, but the twists and turns in the book were interesting enough that I didn't feel that it was predictable at all. The narrator did a great job making the book both understandable and interesting. I enjoyed it much more in the audio compared to the ebook. I'm looking forward to hearing the 4th book in this series.

Fantastic
Let me start by saying I am a baseball fanatic, especially during post season. I got this book and listened to it in 2 days, I didn't even watch any baseball until it was done. I always marvel at the narrator who can do so many voices so well. You will know who you are listening to after just the first few minutes. I have read the whole series, and I really like listening to the audible book, as it brings more life to the story. It is nice if you have already read the book or the prior books, but you will still enjoy this book on it's own. If you are looking at this book, then I can safely assume you love dragons, I know I do. I have read many dragon books and listened to a lot as well. I think you will definitely like this one. I hope you take the plunge, it is well worth it.

I liked it
I liked it although there were definitely times when I wanted to shake Anna. When it came to her, Max had the patience of a saint. She made more than a few silly choices even when she had doubts herself. However, I enjoyed her and Max together and I'm glad they are finally together. I'm hoping he grounds her and helps mature her in a way. I'm looking forward to the next story in this series.
