Too short! :-) Full of profound insights and helpful ideas. I could hear God's voice through this amazing little book.

Very useful

The book blew me away, similar to the effect of John Piper's other book "God is the Gospel." Piper makes a good defense of what he calls "Christian hedonism." The narrator David Cochran Heath was excellent. I will be listening to this again.

Very uplifting book! Elements of this joyful mindset as a pursuit have been familiar to me, but the Scriptural reasoning behind pursuing joy as a duty is not only freeing, but possible AND exciting! Piper wonderfully plucks the splinter out of the reader's eye, even as he might've been viewing it as several logs blocking his whole vision beforehand. Piper manages to capture much of how Christians think and shows the contrasting mindset of pursuing joy as commanded of us. He also pulls apart the cultural emotions that are seemingly fused together, such as joy & comfort, while uniting others that we might have difficulty seeing together, such as joy and suffering. Eloquently stated with Scriptual reasoning and wisdom as support, Piper helps to throw off the yoke of slavery that so easily entangles us that we might be able to run with the joy of Christ set before us!

Changes your mind-set! Excellent book!
