About this listen

To some, the concept of having faith in a higher power or a set of religious beliefs is nonsensical. Indeed, many view religion in general, and Christianity in particular, as unfounded and unreasonable.

Norman Geisler and Frank Turek argue, however, that Christianity is not only more reasonable than all other belief systems, but is indeed more rational than unbelief itself. With conviction and clear thinking, Geisler and Turek guide listeners through some of the traditional, tested arguments for the existence of a creator God. They move into an examination of the source of morality and the reliability of the New Testament accounts concerning Jesus. The final section of the book deals with a detailed investigation of the claims of Christ. This volume will be an interesting book for those skeptical about Christianity, as well as a helpful resource for Christians seeking to articulate a more sophisticated defense of their faith.

Powerful and compelling!

Everyone should understand how much faith it takes to be an atheist. Like the authors, I don’t have that much faith. The book answers all kinds of worrisome issues with simplicity and logic. I rarely listen to a nonfiction book straight through. Instead I put it down after awhile for something more interesting and may never return to it. This book held my interest as tightly as a compelling fictional story, all the way to the end. I recommend it HIGHLY!!!

Excellent summary of the facts

I really enjoyed the way the book ties together the science, history, and philosophy of religion. The philosophy section was a little dry, but all in all it was relatively straightforward. I definitely recommend it for doubters and believers.

Undeniable proof of God for those that do not have faith.

The explanation of the undeniable proof of God's existence is what stood out more. The Author makes a good point that most Atheists contrary to what they often say, will keep their stance of being Athiests based on Emotion rather than objectivity.

Devastating

Devastating to the believers of the belief they don't have beliefs. Masterfully shows why atheism isn't founded in the type of evidence they demand, other than mere emotional blind faith. Yes there are reasonable faiths and irrational faiths, the type of irrationality that atheist believe, is that the non-thinking gave you your thinking, the irrationality that your moral sense arose itself from inmoral matter, that your reason is the sole cause of the non-rational. This at core are the irrational tenants that binds atheism agints it's antithesis.

Very Intelligently Written

If you have any doubts about Christianity or the Bible, please read this book. I have been a Christian for over a decade, but I read this book to strengthen my own faith, and it certainly did that. The first few chapters never even mention Jesus or the Bible, and they use science to prove the existence of God.

Essential for those who are willing to listen.

"I Don't Have Enough Faith to Be an Atheist" is a thought-provoking and well-reasoned book that challenges the assumptions and arguments of atheism. Authors Norman L. Geisler and Frank Turek present a compelling case for the rationality of belief in God, examining various philosophical, scientific, and historical evidence. The book offers a comprehensive and accessible exploration of theistic arguments while dismantling common objections to faith. Geisler and Turek's engaging writing style, combined with their rigorous analysis, makes this book a valuable resource for both believers and skeptics seeking to deepen their understanding of the foundations of faith.
