About this listen

When I find out he’s a virgin, it makes me hotter than I’ve ever been.

I’m old enough to know better than to get hung up on a 20-year-old twink, but he’s just my type. Problem is, he’s scared of bigger, burlier guys. He needs guidance and protection, the kind I crave giving my subs.

I’d never hurt him, but how can I convince him of that?

Heath is as prickly as they come. For some reason, he can’t believe I want him in my bed. I want to teach him everything. I want him to be mine.

He follows every instruction like he was a born submissive. While most of me wants to watch him flourish under my instruction, I can’t help but remember my last sub. I know I won’t find Heath in another Dom’s bed like my ex. But am I ready to risk my heart again and trust that Heath is as committed as I am?

Steamy Opposites-Attract Romance w/Great Narration

This is such a terrific audio book! Dante and Heath find themselves directly in each other's orbit as their motorcycle clubs seek reconciliation after recent events, and they get off to a rocky start for reasons (no spoilers). But they can't deny the mutual attraction brimming under the surface and once they push past their personal issues, their getting together is very steamy but also surprisingly tender, thoughtful and loving. There is some external conflict as well, which unites the two clubs in their efforts against it and brings Dante and Heath even closer together.

Narrator David Allen Vargo delivers an amazing performance. From Dante's deep growly voice to Heath's wide-eyed youthful one to the many distinct side characters, his narration hits all the right emotional notes and is just perfect for the story. I have no doubt his narration greatly added to my enjoyment of this book.

I jumped into "Dante" not having read the previous Hell's Ankhor books but the character development and plot setup is so good that I didn't have any trouble picking things up from the start. I received this free review copy audio book by request and have left this honest review voluntarily.

Loved Dante and Heath!!

I was excited to get Heath’s story. Heath is extremely shy with low self-esteem. Dante is large and in charge, a Dom and just what Heath needed. When the Hell's Ankhor president assigns Heath as Dante’s chaperone, things get a little complicated. Dante is the VP of a neighboring MC club and Heath must try to work with Dante to ensure there’s no hard feelings, but Dante makes him uncomfortable. I love this series so much. This was my first narration my David Allen Vargo. He did a great job with distinguishing the character voices!

New excitement for the series

I really enjoyed this addition to the series, I felt like it was winding down then these last 2 have breathed some new life into them for me and I think maybe this is one of my favorites if not the favorite for me. The narration is ok for me not fantastic but better than the last one. Overall a good listen.

Well written and beautifully narrated

There is something tremendously engaging about this series of stories which revolve around this motorcycle club. I've become inextricably absorbed and invested in what happens to these people, basically all of whom I care about. The extraordinary narration in both Tex and now Dante make the stories jump right off the page. I feel like I know these people and want to become part of their world. A world which bears very little, if any, resemblance to reality, but it is a tremendous joy to spend time in nonetheless. These books have become my guilty pleasure. So what if people aren't really this nice, or this wise, or this empathetic, or this genuine. It's a wonderful escape from reality and a dimension I would gladly live in given the opportunity.

This series just keeps getting better!!

So can we talk about Heath?? He is so sweet and naturally submissive. I wanted to hug him. Is that wrong? Dante just wanted to protect him, so I can't be wrong. I loved every single second of this book!!

Heath & Dante

I received an ARC of this audio for my honest review. Dante is the VP of the neighboring towns MC club Liberty Crew and they are allies to Hells Ankhor. Heath is extremely shy with low self-esteem. There are twists & turns, humor, surprises anger, fear & pain. Heath is made to be the chaperone of Dante when he comes to mend fences after 3 ex-members threaten Hells Ankhor MC. I thought they were made for each other. David did a great job with the narration.

Great story and a Fantastic Performance!

I loved this story line. I was hoping, based on the plot of the previous book, that we would get some new characters to focus on. The Liberty Crew characters added a new dimension to the world of Hell's Ankhor. Dare and The Kid's relationship is sweet and spicy; it also seemed supremely real. The awkwardness of their initial interactions, and the silly communication mistakes that they both make, are how people really act when they're falling for each other.

I don't think this story would have been anywhere near as enjoyable or successful without David Allen Vargo's perfect delivery. I'm caught myself wondering how many times he had to have read this book before he recorded. How can he make it sound this real, natural, and emotional. Some narrators focus on the dialogue with their performance, but I've found that the internal monologues are so important in these stories, that they really need high priority. Vargo handles all aspects of this reading so well. I will continue to say it. I'll listen to anything he records!

Really Enjoyable Listen

Firstly let me say I loved the narration, it felt more like I was listening to a tv show or a movie rather than listening to just a book being read which really aided into transporting into the story. Loved the chemistry between the Dante and The Kid as well. I found The MC interesting as well with not all of the characters being macho, for the most part when I read MC romances if both men are actually in an MC they’re usually both macho, at least to those around them even when their vulnerable together. The Kid though he could hold his own was definitely not a macho guy, and tbh, Dante wasn’t over ally macho either and that was kind of a nice change from other similar stories. Anyways I enjoyed it overall though I kinda wish their adversaries had gotten a little more of a comeuppance.

Awesome addition to the series! Loved it!

Dante is book 6 in the Hell’s Ankhor series and I absolutely loved it! To make things right and reconcile the two MC’s Dante is tasked the job of sharing not only his fighting skills but also his cooking skills with the club. Heath is Dante’s chaperone while at the club, and he ends up learning a whole lot more from this sexy man than fighting and baking! Ohhh and the crazy hot chemistry between them is off the charts Hot! I thought narrator David Allen Vargo did a super fantastic job with his deep sexy voice and theatrics bringing this story to life! It’s a great addition to this awesome series! Dante is a really good audiobook that I definitely recommend!
