When I found myself facing down the scariest black-magic felon in the city, practically daring him to abduct me, I had to wonder exactly how I ended up here.

Was hoping this would be as good as the first. It was slightly different - maybe because I was more familiar with Victoria after the first of the series. I ended up finishing it faster than the first. She may be human but she is acting more Mythic as the pages turn. On to the next. It is good to have a series that one likes!

This was an enjoyable read that added new and exciting characters that should enhance future books.

The narration is fine. However, I wish the male voices had more variety and deeper tones.

I will listen to this again, and for me, that's a sign of a good book.

I think I'm in love with a dark druid 😂. I really enjoyed this book. it's my second time reading it because I haven't read some of the newest books in the series, so I need to remember everything. I remember now why it is one of my favorite series. Those characters!!!
