About this listen

For most of his five centuries of existence, Orion has walked the earth alone, searching for answers.

Why is he immortal?

Where did his powers come from?

Is he the only one of his kind?

When fate puts Orion face-to-face with the god who sired him, he learns the secret behind his immortality and that he might not be the only one.

As the goddess’ eldest daughter and a mother of 13, Alena deserves the title of Clan Mother just as much as Annani, but she’s not interested in honorifics. Being her mother’s companion and keeping the mischievous goddess out of trouble is a rewarding, full-time job. Lately, though, Alena’s love for her mother and the clan’s gratitude is not enough.

She craves adventure, excitement, and perhaps a true-love mate of her own.

When Alena and Orion meet, sparks fly, but they both resist the pull. Alena could never bring herself to trust the powerful compeller, and Orion could never allow himself to fall in love again.

Things just keep getting better!

Alena finally finds her one and only Orion. The fates have a strange sense of humor. What are the odds that one of the clan members Shai would find his one true love Geraldine and that a trickle of information would end up being a full on flood of new information and immortals.
Vrog known as Mr. Wu is captured by the team in China. He is brought to the US to the village. He finally gets to meet his son Vlad that he shares with Stella.

Alena and Orion--part 1

Dark Hunter's Submerged is book 56 in the Children of the Gods series and is the first of the Dark Hunter's trilogy. It is the story of Alena and Orion.

Geraldine's brother has been found and boy does he have a tale to tell, Orion is taken and held by Kian for a short time. He is a compeller, much like most of Ekin's descendants. Alena is terrified of Orion because of his abilities, but once she lets her guard down there is a no holds bar attraction between these two. 5 stars.

Fascinating!

Dark Hunter's Query, the fifty-sixth book in the epic Children of the Gods series, is a riveting paranormal romance. It's brilliantly written with phenomenal, appealing, and memorable characters. I. T. Lucas continues to weave imaginative stories with fascinating world-building, wrapped in paranormal elements and mythology. Dark Hunter's Query is no exception; I was captivated from the start to the very end. The storyline is well-plotted and engaging with some revelations and surprising discoveries. Alena and Orion's journey has been compelling, fraught with challenges, but so many parts came together perfectly, I couldn't stop smiling. I'm definitely looking forward to the next book in the series; I just know it's going to be another winner.

Outstanding narration by Charles Lawrence. His portrayal of the characters was flawless, capturing their emotions and connection. He is a talented narrator and has a great understanding of Lucas's characters and narrative. Overall, Dark Hunter's Query was a fantastic listen, one I'll strongly recommend.
