The story was OK. Not riveting.

The reader was terrible. Everything was in a tone of exasperation or disbelief. It got very tiring very quickly. I will not read another book that this narrator does.

Production quality bad

To start with the production quality of the narrative is terrible. The sound is uneven and punches so you can’t keep the volume at an even level… then there’s the narrator. At first I had a hard time believing he was even British, the way he read was stuck as if in an action scene but actually mundane goings on and details were occurring. It made the story difficult to follow and unfortunately went this way for far too long. It did get better in the end as with the sound production but not enough to ever want to listen to this narrator again.

Entertaining

Good read. not too hard to figure out though. Entertaining nonetheless. I will try the next in the series.

I just can't

I've tried. The fluctuations in volume and having to rewind repeatedly to hear what is said at such a low volume won out. I just can't finish it. I tried, but really, for me anyway, the story just couldn't keep me kinterested to the point of that frustration.
