About this listen

Keisha Montgomery's junior year was devastating. Her best friend died, and her ex-boyfriend committed suicide. But Keisha is getting her life back on track. She's been elected senior class president, and she has met Jonathan Hathaway, the new 23-year-old track coach. Tall and handsome, Jonathan actually talks to Keisha like she's a woman instead of a girl. But when this forbidden relationship takes a frightening turn, Keisha once again finds herself plunged into the darkness she has worked so hard to escape.

This book kept me on the edge the whole time.

The way that the reader expressed the characters emotions was one of the things that I loved the most about this book. I always love me some good dramatic and romantic books and this book for sure had both. And to all young ladies, me include, out thier that think they have there life's planned out on the table, maybe you should read this book.

The Finale to the Hazelwood Trilogy

What a great ending! I love the incorporation of HBCUs as college choices and I love that the author isn't afraid to tackle tough, YA issues.

Amazing

Her voice is Keisha and no one else. After find out Tears Of A Tiger had two more books I knew I had to find the other ones. But I had no time to read so the next best thing was this audiobook.

Not the best compared to the first book

I've been a fan of Sharon Draper books for a long time. However, there were moments when the book seemed to have dragging plot. There was an attempt to cram a lot of adolescent issues into the novel with subplots of minor characters. Suspense was built and left hanging in the story unresolved for too long. By the end, I just wanted to finish the book because I no longer cared about the characters.

BAD!

This audio recording IS TOO SLOW. My students were immediately bored with it. Do not download if you do not have to. Waste of money!
