About this listen

A boy from the future. A Persian slave girl. One deadly secret.

Marius, a delinquent teenager, has more trouble than he can handle. He is sent back in time and finds himself facing yet another dilemma.

King Antiochus Epiphanes IV crushes Jerusalem, leaving the Jewish people in deep affliction. Their lives in jeopardy, their faith torn from them, they are living without hope - until one humble man in Modein decides to challenge the Seleucid soldiers.

Marius finds himself fighting side by side with the great Juda Maccabee, while his heart is secretly longing for a beautiful Persian slave girl named Shireen.

The world is falling apart - will Marius and Shireen find each other again, before all is lost?

"Huber's gift of storytelling shines through in Days of Fire. Her voice is hypnotic, her characters entrancing, her plot twists and rolls magnificently in unexpected ways. Best of all, you get an ending that is immensely satisfying. Days of Fire will burn in your brain for a very long time." (Heather Blanton, best-selling author of A Lady in Defiance)

Should have been a good story

The narrator is terrible , he is monotone and no expression for anything that's happening. He has no emotions and the reading Is so slow that you are literally wanting to reach in to pull the words out of his mouth. The pronunciation is horrid ...I may try at some point to find and read a printed copy, but I will not try to listen to this jerky slow narration. It's like he has to figure out each word as he goes, And I am sorry for the fact that the book could probably have been really nice story
