Roshar is a world of stone and storms. Uncanny tempests of incredible power sweep across the rocky terrain so frequently that they have shaped ecology and civilization alike. Animals hide in shells, trees pull in branches, and grass retracts into the soilless ground. Cities are built only where the topography offers shelter. It has been centuries since the fall of the 10 consecrated orders known as the Knights Radiant, but their Shardblades and Shardplate remain: mystical swords and suits of armor.

loved it!
Any additional comments?
Loved this story. Had my attention right from the start. And a Daywalker is something new for me in the paranormal genre. I do hope there will be more to come. Lacy has a great sense of humor and Tessa is so descriptive in her writing that you can feel Lacy's pain and fear one minute and then will be laughing at something she said the next. Emily has a great voice and really makes you part of the story. Looking forward to more!

Lovin' Lacey
Where does Daywalker - The Beginning rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
I put it up there with the other Tessa Dawn works as ranking high.
What did you like best about this story?
I enjoyed Lacey's determination and fearless desire to seek out the nightwalker. Even though it was serious, I enjoyed the humor in times of crisis also.
What does Emily Beresford bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Emily brings a sense of strength and courage to the story that is nice to hear rather than just reading.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Young, strong and daywalking on.
Any additional comments?
Great short story that is fun, yet frightening. Lacey is a strong, intelligent female character that owns her power.

What a fantastic and frightning story
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I would totally recommend this book to a friend and have already to many! It captures the imagination from the very first words and doesn't stop in its frantic pace until the very end.
What did you like best about this story?
I loved the concept of this story, the horror and humor carried each other along very nicely, I found myself chewing my fingers and laughing out loud at the most ridiculous moments. Very few horror books tickle my fancy but this one did!
Have you listened to any of Emily Beresford’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
No I have not but I will surely do so now, Emily got this book and brought it to life making the transition from reading a fun and crazy story to hearing the characters come to life and make me shiver with anticipation
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes and infact I did so, I couldn't stop it if I tried, I recommend having plenty of time to listen and do this story justice. It was a total pleasure ride for me.
Any additional comments?
Tessa Dawn has always blown my mind with her Blood Curse Series but this stand alone book DayWalker had me screaming, laughing and shouting out loud. It truly was a fantastic book that was fast paced, ghoulish and garish in all the right places. Lacy Logan the main character was a hoot that I both wanted to slap and have a night out with. Get this book you won't be sorry!

FRESH, ORIGINAL, AND FUN!
Would you consider the audio edition of Daywalker - The Beginning to be better than the print version?
Daywalker was such a fun and pleasant surprise, watching such a talented author shift from her usual series to a completely new world and character. I wasn't sure what to expect in a new adult story, or to hear it told from first person (instead of third), or to watch the author shift from vampires and dragons to nightwalkers!!! But all I can say is WOW! What incredible talent. I loved every laugh out loud minute of this story! And the narrator did a great job bringing all of the characters to life. Well done.

Great Introduction to an exciting new character!
Would you listen to Daywalker - The Beginning again? Why?
I think this story is a wonderful fast paced journey into a new Tessa Dawn world. It's exciting and as with her Blood Curse Series...leaves you wanting more.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Daywalker - The Beginning?
This short story is written in a 1st person POV which puts us in the head of Lacy Logan throughout. She's fun, spunky, curious and full of life making every moment of her short story exciting.
What does Emily Beresford bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Emily gives a voice to Lacy that seems to match her personality and follow the character arc well.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
The only reaction I had was a desire for a longer story...perhaps a new series.
Any additional comments?
There are a few authors out there that I will stop everything for, just to read their work. Their use of the English language to create a world that captures me in the first paragraph is unmatched. Tessa Dawn has done this time and time again with her work...and has not disappointed with Daywalker. Her short story quickly takes us into a world filled with supernatural suspense and terror and as always...she leaves us wanting more. Her original ideas mixed with compelling and complex characters take Dark Fantasy to an entirely new level. I am intrigued by this character and I hope I have a chance to read more of her.
