I liked most of the stories. not bad. Definitely good to listen to while working. I've already bought a couple more of these.

I had fun with it. Roof.

I think that the Montana chapter was my favorite. I live near the are described and have totally met one or two of those people. There were alot of parts dealing with the military that i frankly didn't like. Maybe i'm just over military zombie stories?

I am also writing this review to stick up for the narrator, see many people in the reviews will say she is mispronouncing everything. And while that may *technically* be true, she has what is known as an accent. See, i mispronounce alot of the words she does in the same way, and it's usually boiled down to regional accents for me. That said, she is pretty monotone and frankly not a very good narrator.

I think the author has some great ideas here that are let down by them not thinking things through as much as they should and a narrator who is rather monotone. I will continue on with this series because i do like the format. We will see how that changes.

Not my cup of tea

I normally like these kinds of books where it's a group of survivors against the living dead but for whatever reason this book just did not do it for me. I believe it has something to do with it being broken up the way it is with seven individual stories so many different characters they didn't seem to be very rememberable and it was difficult to follow along because things change so much because of the characters so didn't really get into this one all that well.

The Narrator sounded like my mom

It seemed like a good story, couldn't get past the narrator. It seemed like my mom reading me a bedtime story. There was too much effort to make her voice seem intense. Couldn't get passed it. A better narrator could have made this story.

Great zompoc series!

Don’t listen to the bad reviews! I’ve listened to hundreds of zombie novels and this series is in my top ten. Arisen, Mountain Man, The Undead, AUD, The Remaining, Zombie Road etc are among my favorites. If you can get past a few things, repetitive phrases etc you will thoroughly enjoy all the books in this series. I suggest you start at the beginning with Texas and go from there. All of Derek Slatons work is connected.

Great series keep up the great work!

A Good Listen

I liked it. mild humor is fun. I like the stories from across the country and seeing what others are doing.

Good

I usually don’t like stories that jump between different sites/people, yet this series does it quite well. Characters are all interesting. There is action, but you kinda know its always gonna go to the good guys, if not right away, eventually.

Good Story, Toneless Narrator

The book itself is a different take on the zombie apocalypse which I always enjoy thoroughly, the writing itself can be a bit cringe inducing at times but other than that a good book.
My only complaint is the narrator herself, she has good grammar and pacing, but her tone is honestly very robotic in manner with little variation in her speech, with myself at times losing track of where I am while listening due to this.

Passable

Not every narrator can be Sean Runnette but seriously, the narrator would be better suited to read Good Night Moon. As a woman, I have nothing against female narrators, however trying to narrate male voices just doesn't have work for me. The soldiers all sound the same. Every single male character sounds like a prepubescent high schooler going through a voice change. Also, the southern accents are waaaaaaay too drawn out. They may have well have been sitting on the veranda sipping a mint julep fanning themselves instead of fighting zombies. Maybe if the narrator changes it would be more enjoyable
