Publisher's summary

When the spirit of a young male prostitute comes to psychic Tennyson Grimm asking him to find the john who brutally murdered him, Tennyson can't say no. Only able to communicate through the use of images, rather than words, getting any information out of the young man is frustrating and slow going.

Cold Case Detective Ronan O'Mara has been on a roll solving cases since he and Tennyson last teamed up to solve the Michael Frye case. Unfortunately, the red-hot romance that had blossomed between them during that investigation is now off in a ditch, thanks to Ronan's self-confessed pigheadedness.

Agreeing to work together despite the rift in their relationship, Tennyson and Ronan discover they are in for more than they bargained for when more victims start to reveal themselves to Tennyson.

Realizing they might have a serial killer on their hands, the two men work tirelessly to stop this madman from killing again, but when the killer targets the son of a prominent member of the Boston Police Department, can Ronan and Tennyson save him before it's too late?

A really good read

Second in the series, Dead Reckoning was a hit for me. The characters continue to develop as their relationships- both personal and working continue to grow. My favorite part may cause some angst so be aware there are trigger warnings. But seeing the victims through Ten's eyes is so dramatic and sad. I love the family being created by Ronan and Ten, and can't wait to see more. And I love Kevin and his new son! Again, not a realistic crime drama but wildly entertaining and super enjoyable. I'm it for the long haul.

Terrific!

This is a gripping story that had me on the edge of my seat. I feel I’ve gotten to know these characters a little better with this story. The mystery kept me guessing until the reveal, I enjoyed trying to piece the clues together to see if I could figure out “whodunnit.” The narrator does a brilliant job of bringing the characters to life. Each character has their own unique voice so it’s easy to determine who is speaking. I think you can read/listen to this book as a stand-alone, though I think you’ll get a better sense of the characters by reading the series in order. It’s well worth it.

Another great narration!

I really like this installment from the Cold Case Psychic series. The story line flows well and you feel like you are watching a crime show on television. Tennyson and Ronan go up against some pretty heavy stuff in their investigations and the things that they have to face on a daily basis can get pretty harrowing but these two have some seriously strong backbones and they know how to help each other get through those times. The author does a good job of carrying the mystery in this story, it took me longer to figure out the "whodunit" than it did in the first book of the series. I will say that I didn't enjoy the ending, however knowing there is another book made it easier to swallow and I can't wait to listen to the next one in this series. I'm hooked on Tenn and Ro and can't wait to see what else these two go up against and slay in a way that only they can.

The narration was excellent as Michael Pauley never disappoints!!!

Good continuation to this series

I was angered by that Ronan pulled away from Ten and they were not speaking to each other in the beginning of the book. And then Ten is the one to apologize when it should have been Ronan groveling. But eventually they get their act together and are back together. The case that they are investigating is a horrible one and heartbreaking. We have a murder prostitute who comes to Ten but is unable to talk to him, but he does get his point across that he needs help. We are then lead on a series of multiple like murders that had spanned numerous years. I was wrong on who the killer was, actually thought it was someone else. I love the secondary characters and they show that a family can be chosen not necessarily be related.

So good!

Book 2 and the adventure of Ten and Ronan continues.

It was equally frustrating and sweet reading Ten’s & Ronan’s growing pains, both as individuals and as partners in personal and professional aspect. It was also rewarding though. Ten was a bit bratty in this book. His ultimatum, his insecurities and his attitude turned me off a bit. And his “decision” towards the end.

It was great getting to know the Captain in this book too and it’s always great to read more about the supporting characters like Carter, Cole & Truman.

Unraveling the mystery is always a treat too & just when you think you know what’s going to happen or who dunit, Pandora throws a curveball.

Can’t wait to see if Ten got what he wished for in book 3. But for fox sake, can Ten and Ronan be okay together already?? This push and pull is driving me nuts.

Michael’s narration, superb as always!

Another Great Instalment to the Series

Dead Reckoning

I loved the first book of this series and I was so excited to click play on this next installment. I was a little nervous that the storyline would be very much the same but I worried for no reason. It still have all the parts I loved from the first book with a totally different story. It is great.

I will admit that the timeline threw off just a little at the beginning because although it picks up where it left off, there is a little bit of time lapse in there. The author does do a good job of letting us know what happened, but it would have been nice to see and experience that first hand. Once I got past that, I fell into the story with no issues and loved it. The bond these 2 guys share is just so wonderful and fun, I adore them both so much. I think one of the things I love most is that they're not perfect. They both struggle with handling their own lives and their relationship, but they don’t let that stop them from pursuing a life together and forgiving one another when needed.
We also get to see a lot more of the side cast in this book and I have to say that I LOVE the captain! He is amazing and stole my heart in this book. I’m pretty sure he has or is getting a novella but if he isn't. I NEED ONE.

This one another great installment to the series and I can't wait for the next one. I’m completely hooked. 5 Stars for Pandora Pine!

Romance & Suspense

I first found this series through the audiobooks and while I’ve read almost all the books, this series really shines through it’s narration. In book two Tennyson and Ronan team back up to solve a series of murders of gay teenagers in the Boston area. Tennyson and Ronan hit a rough patch in their personal relationship and they have to work through it without letting it affect their ability to solve this case. I really love seeing their relationship develop in this book. I can’t wait to start the next audiobook in this series.

Fantastic story and narration!

I have loved this series since I was first lucky enough to receive an ARC of book one and its had me hooked ever since. Now hearing it in audio just brings more enjoyment from the story.
This book brings us back to Ronan and Tenn, who had a bit of a rocky end to book 1. We have a serial killer out there and these two characters work so well together, even when at odds with each other. Their connection fully shines through with Pandora's writing and it's such an engaging story line and overall arc with the secondary characters as well. We get to hear more from Captain Fitzgibbon and he's given a fantastic voice by the narrator!
Michael Pauley is one of the best narrators I've heard and his voice easily pulls me in from the first word and then I'm eagerly listening to every chapter.
Cannot recommend this book and series enough! It's great for a romance, a detective/crime story line, and it's interesting with the psychic aspect.
