Not too exciting

I wasn't expecting Shakespeare, but the plot left a lot to be desired. I couldn't bring myself to care about the Zombies and the ending got wrapped up way too easily. I didn't hate this one but I doubt that I will bother with the next one in the series.

Cute story

This was suggested to me by Audible because I listen to Molly Harper's books. This was a fun read but pales in comparison to Molly Harper's books.

Unparalleled

These books are some of the best in the genre. Not only are the writing, characters, and storyline perfection itself but the choice of Amanda Ronconi as narrator is really the only possible choice. She is the best narrator in the biz, making it difficult for anyone else to compete with her skilled performances. This is the second time that I have listened to these books and it will, most certainly, not be the last.

We're only missing werewolves

I want to have more Izzy in the books. And what happened to the zombies after the spell was broken. I want more, more, more.

better in some ways / worse in some ways

I enjoyed the banter back and forth on this one more. I enjoyed the development of the story. The fact that it dealt with zombies, didn't overly amuse me ( I am not one for this whole zombie apocalypse deal) But it was still a good story. I got a little tired of how whiny and dense the main character was in this one, it was starting to get annoying. I am hoping as we go on in the story she will become less so.

If you are coming to these books from Molly Harper's books you will find them slightly disappointing, but they are a decent follow up, they just don't quite reach that level. Amanda Ronconi however is as excellent of a narrator in these as she is in Harper's and she does the voices differently so you don't feel you are listening to Jane while listening to these

Good book

I liked the first book better but this was still a good book. I'm glad it was the same narrator. I also finished this one faster, I'm not sure if it was shorter or if I just listened more often.

Love this series

Amanda Ronconi is one of my 3 favorite narrators. And now, Halloway is one of my favorite authors. ...in the same class as Molly Harper, Darynda Jones, and Janet Evanovich.

Another great entry in the Garnet Lacey saga!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes. It's a light, fun, romantic listen with intrigue and mystery thrown in. Oh, and let's not forget the chase scene that you can almost see!

What other book might you compare Dead Sexy to and why?

The Molly Harper Jane Jameson series. Both paranormal romances, both narrated by Amanda Ronconi and both just the right mix of serious and light.

What about Amanda Ronconi’s performance did you like?

I like the different voices she does for the different characters. She's one of my favorite narrators so some books I'm more likely to buy just because she's narrating.

Any additional comments?

I like that it's set in Wisconsin as I've lived my whole life here. I'm familiar enough with Madison that the streets and settings sound familiar.

I liked the audiobook better than the Kindle version because the Kindle version had editing issues. Also, I have a habit of listening to books I like over and over, and this is one of them!

Wonderful!

I really enjoyed this book! The story combines magic, with humor, love story, and action. The narrator is superb! I highly recommend this series!
