Publisher's summary

Cold Case Detective Ronan O'Mara is looking forward to starting a new life in his new home, but when a strange house warming gift appears on his doorstep, he has no idea that it marks the start of a series of events that will put his life, and the lives of everyone close to him, in danger. When murders similar to those committed by dead serial killer Rod Jacobson start occurring around Boston, Ronan is certain he has a copycat killer on his hands.

Psychic Tennyson Grimm is approached by friends for help dealing with issues surrounding their son. He quickly realizes there is more going on with the boy than teenaged angst. Though he doesn't want to believe it, his psychic abilities and a series of strange paranormal occurrences point to a link between the troubled teen and the murder victims that are turning up all over Boston.

When Ronan is attacked during the investigation, it's up to Tennyson and Captain Fitzgibbon to find the killer without him. Will they be able to stop the murderer before the evil that surrounds him destroys them all?

Amazing roller-coaster of emotions

Michael Pauley did an amazing job!!!

The angst was off the charts in this action-packed mystery. I love a great dark story that really gets into my head and this story did that for me. Each story gets better and better. I was sucked in from the very start. I enjoy how Pandora Pine intertwines all the characters and they keep appearing in each book.

Please read the previous books before this one. If your looking for a darker, grief stricken, and yet funny story this one is for you. Tennyson and Ronan won't let you down.

Danger, love and loss

I loved, loved this continuation of the cop-psychic romantic suspense adventures of Ronan and Tennyson. Ronan is a Boston police detective assigned to the cold case division. Tennyson is a psychic who is Ronan’s boyfriend and has worked as partner to help solve cases. This book picks up where the third book ended. Ronan and Tennyson are engaged and have just purchased a house together. On the day they move in, something does not feel right but neither knows what the cause is. When it appears a copycat killer is killing young men in the same manner as the dead serial killer Rod Jacobsen (Dead Reckoning), things start to get stranger. As in the other books in the series, there is baggage unpacking, truth telling, leaps of faith, clue uncovering, and ghosts. The story was well written and included witty dialogue, three dimensional main characters, a rich and diverse supporting cast, and an engaging storyline with sweet moments, steamy scenes, action, dangerous situations, ghosts, loyal friends, tragic back stories, mystical coincidences, snark, plot twists, big feels, and laughs. I love that Ronan and Tennyson’s characters and all the rest of the supporting cast are messy humans and continue to make mistakes which makes them really likeable and relatable heroes. I love this series.

Michael Pauley once again did a phenomenal job narrating the story and characters into life with enough change of inflection, tone and cadence to voice multiple characters quite convincingly.

Dead Weight

This series just gets better with each (audio)book. Really fantastic series.

While I am sure these are great books to read, I feel like Michael Pauley's voice and narration just gives these characters life and the story just impacts you so much harder when listening to them. The ending of this book just made me all kinds of emotional. I was in shock, gutted, and sobbing with the ending of this book. But the overall story we get mixed with the narration was such a great story to hear.

I really love this group of friends that Tennyson and Ronan has surrounded themselves with, they are all fantastic people. The first two books of this series were suspenseful and intriguing, the last book #3 was more romance filled which I think gave us a good balance in the storyline. This book brings us right back to the suspenseful crazy nature of the series and things that had happened and ended in those first two books. But besides all the drama and action, we still got to see some lighter moments as well. This author has written such a great plot line with this whole series so far I cant wait to experience the rest of these books. But, I will be waiting to get them all in audio so I can experience them first through listening to them in MP's voice I just hope we get more soon.

Amazingly intense!

Oh my goodness Pandora broke me. This book is amazing!! But wow! It kept me on the edge of my seat through the very last line. I still haven’t recovered and I’m chomping at the bit for the next book! This has quickly become one of my most favorite series. #Roanandtenforever

Emotional! Mr Pauley truly does this story justice

Holy freaking cow, Batman!! Another outstanding book from Pandora with our favourite detective/psychic duo.
I highly recommend reading the previous books in the series before jumping into this one. It will make much more sense, and they're great books to read.
Somehow in this book, I feel the emotion between Ronan and Ten even more. Obviously events have happened throughout the series but all together they have become am amazing couple who truly believe in their love for each other. Beautiful to read.
The mystery in this book keeps you on the edge. We may know the answers before the MC's but it just gets you, well....me, shouting at them and telling them what they are doing wrong. When you can get that involved in the story and the outcome, you know you're onto a winner.
It's a great story line involving all of our favourite characters, Carson and Truman, Cole and Cassie, Tony and Carlie, Kevin, Greeley, Jace, and of course Erin and Bertha.
This story packs quite a punch, especially towards th.e end but every single moment is worth reading and listening to
Yet again, Michael Pauley brings his A game to a book. Fully bringing all of our characters to life, giving them individuality and the voice needed to get their thoughts, emotions and actions across. I have listened to a lot of audio books and this is only the second to have made me cry, twice. That will hopefully tell you a little about how strong the writing and narrating is and that you are in for a full on ride throughout the whole book, building to a crescendo towards the end with a chapter that is the perfect ending to the story that has been told.
I cannot recommend this book and the whole series enough. Looking forward to more from Pandora Pine and Michael Pauley.

WHAT A RIDE!

This series just keeps on getting better and better. Dead Weight give the reader everything they could possibly want in a mystery/romance story.

You will be taken on quite the journey. It is an emotional rollercoaster. You will scream, cry, laugh and love!

This story is rich with secondary characters I have grown to love. There is such a feeling of family and community. I can't say enough how much I love this series!
Michael Pauley does a fantastic job of giving voice to these amazing guys. He adds such a richness to this story. I know I will be relistening to this audiobook in the future!

Tears will flow

Oh, man, this book is filled with amazing highs and gut wrenching lows. Between dealing with the weird gifts, copy cat (or are they?) crimes, and Ten seeing glimpses of Ronan's attack, you will need tissues. Then the ending is... beyond words. It is also incredible to see more of Fitz, catching up with some secondary characters from earlier books, and the way that Ten and Fitz work together is great.

The narrator is beyond words and I wish he could narrate all the books in all the lands :)

Absolutely amazing

This was absolutely awesome. I laughed, I got scared, I was happy, and I cried. Lots of emotions in this book, but it was so worth it.

A copy cat killer seems to be back and recreating the Rod Jacobsen killings from 2 books ago. It gets a lot more personal for Ronan and Tennyson, and there is a lot to process for them. We see Tennyson working with Kevin while Ronan is out of commission, and I love watching the relationships and friendship develop/grow between all
of the characters. The ending was intense, and lots of tears ensued. This was so well written. I can’t wait for the next books.

I listened to the audiobook, and the narration was once again stellar. Michael Pauley is brilliant with all of the voices. I loved “meeting” Erin O’Mara.
