Georgia’s life has finally settled down. Or so she thought. She couldn’t be more wrong.

The night she returns, Clara’s mother is killed during a break-in gone wrong. The scenario is eerily similar to Georgia’s father’s murder nine and a half years earlier, and Georgia suspects there are lies from the past someone doesn’t want unearthed.
Georgia can’t get a straight answer from Clara about what really happened in high school and why she left for so many years. When Georgia digs deeper and starts asking questions around town, she discovers people will do anything to keep their dark secrets buried. Even murder.
And Georgia has risen to the top of the hit list.

For a third installment this was a pretty interesting story. If you haven’t read the previous books l don’t think you’d be too lost with how much backstory is provided. There’s some solid misdirection and mystery packed into this particular book. Besides murder, this is a super clean read for anyone who wishes to give it a go.
Like previous books in this series there is a heavy Christian overtone. However, this one is not as preachy as the others thus far.
I’d be interested to see where Georgia ends up next.

As grandpa Winston and his new fiancé plan their wedding, a family friend is shot in the middle of a robbery. Georgia and cal are one of the first one scene. And this murder has one too many similarities. Georgia bursts into tears and she can’t help but wonder why.
As wedding plans continue Georgia senses something is off with her relationship. But isn’t sure what. Will she ever find out? What happens to cal?
They aren’t able to have many conversations because a major break in 3 big cases at the police department happens. Once they are resolved Georgia and cal finally call into question their relationship.
Such a good book! I can’t wait to read the rest! I have definitely put them on my Christmas list. I want to find out what happens!
Marissa Shrock is a genius. Amazing mysteries and plot twists. You are simply amazed by how much can happen in such a small town.
Jennifer Jill Araya is a great narrator. I love how she brings the stories to life.
I can’t wait to hear the rest of the series!
