About this listen

A retired assassin can't find love, until he meets his match.

Almost dying puts some things in perspective for Reaper. For one, he is getting too old to be dodging bullets. And secondly, who will mourn him when he is gone? Maybe it's time to think about settling down. Problem is, exactly where does a retired assassin meet the right kind of lady?

Charming Reaper Montgomery - the first - turns to a dating service to solve his problem and finds himself intrigued by the owner, especially when his first date with her ends with bullets flying. Between her secret past and his killer resume, they'll make a deadly match.

A stand alone novel with a happily ever after.

Love this Series!!!

Great book! I love this series. My only annoyances wete the narrator and the heroine. The narrator just didn't feel like the right fit for Reaper in my opinion (I imagined him more as a Sebastian York voice). The heroine just frustrated me at times. I think it might be because my age is similar to hers and she was weaker in some ways than I feel that she should be. I realized that she was attempting to keep herself safe, but sometimes you need to spill it and not continue to just ignore (or try to ignore) the issues. That is just me and my stubbornness talking though.

Other than those things, I loved the story, I can't wait to hear the rest of the series!

Easy listen

This is a fun story about an assassin that is almost retired and basically realizes that he is all alone and goes to a matchmaker for help. All of the dates don’t work but there is instant chemistry with the matchmaker herself. With action and giggles along with some sizzle I’m looking forward to the next installment in this series.

Great book needs a different narrator

The book and story were awesome. The narrator though... I just had to force myself to listen to the narration. Gave up and went and bought the book. His voice is just not right for this. Maybe a western.

Awesome story and reading. Highly recommend!

Anise and Reapers story was so full of twists, turns, and surprises! There was constant action, hilarious dialogue, and unexpected encounters with the “other” bad guys, all of which combine in a great story that completely kept me on my toes. And though I’ve read this book myself, hearing it in Logan McAllisters voice was completely different, adding a smoky quality to Reapers voice that I myself hadn’t put in. It created a different vibe to the story vs reading it myself, and I absolutely loved it.

Great story but ok narrator

Story was great. I had a hard time getting into the story. The narrator was monotone. Eve Langlais is great author and I will continue to buy her books in any format.

What a great audio Match

Wow it grabs your listeners ears by the first sentence. This story has you guessing what will happen till the end of the audio This is book 3 will need to grab the other 2. Hero and Heroine are in the same business. Wink wink taking care of nasty business. Reaper the hero gets a rude awakening when after a hit he gets hit on and bleeds almost to death. He then decides he needs a happy ending of his own but how do you go about it. Do you look for a female hit an in a dating site. Bow shoots at him. Grab it and find out. Does he find a mate.
Meanwhile some is after his female counterpart. Is it the same person after both of them. Do you take care of the other person

Logan was great. He hit this narrator part right on He brought the listen to live

Uniquely Enjoyable

Good Narration! Unique Characters! Surprising Twists! I really enjoyed this book. I keep chuckling over the Hero’s method of counting sheep!

Awesome story, bad narration

I loved the overall story and always love what Eve Langlais writes! Plenty of action, suspense and chemistry between Reaper and Annique. The problem I had was the narration. Logan McAllister was monotone and would draw out words for no reason. Although I’ll devour Eves books I’ll never listen to the narrator again

Solid 4 star read

This is the third in the bad boy inc series. It's a standalone. I haven't read the others, and had no problems. I enjoyed this read. It spent a lot of time in Reaper's head and him dealing with his issues. He seems to really grow in this book. I really like his character. Annie is a different story. For a adult woman on the run she is really naive and whiney. I wish she was a bit stronger or had more growth. There is a HEA, so no cliffhanger. Overall a good story. The narrator did a good job, but could have read a little faster and engaged more in the beginning. I haven't listened to this narrator before. He did a good job of having a different tone for different characters, which can be hard for narrators that have a deeper voice. A solid four star read.

Light but suspenseful, who would've thought

First, let me say that I absolutely loved that the characters were older than your average romance characters. It was a great change of pace reading about characters my own age. That being said, it was a great story. At times it was light and you almost want to chuckle, especially at Reaper's reaction to finally meeting his match. However, Langlais had me on the edge of my seat with all the action and who could possibly be doing it all. I know, a little vague, but I don't want to give away the plot line. Who would have thought you could ave a story that was both light-hearted and suspenseful at the sae time. The narrator did a wonderful job in interpreting the characters. There were a few times though when it came across as a bit forced. Overall, a wonderful story that I am delighted to say I would listen to again.
