Dragons

I listened to all 7 books and they were great! I loved how they flowed together and weren't completely predictable.

Here there be dragons- campy, cocky, sexy dragons

Apparently this series is an off-shoot of the Bitten Point and Kodiak Point shifter series.
However, you can start here and have fun with the kooky world of dragon shifters,
filled with bodacious babes unafraid to claim their men.
There’s no Table of Contents, so you’ll need to know the chapters where book 2 and 3 begin.

Ch 1 Becoming Dragon
“Did you just double gator dare me?”
Aimee, aka Moonbeam, calls dibs on Brandon, who’s been Frankensteined into a gator-dragon shifter of sorts. She's got no respect for boundaries and gets handsy in ways that might be considered toxic if the roles were reversed. But, that’s one of the fun things about fantasy romance: non-pc behavior becomes a comedic quirk of the magical species. Good thing Brandon matches her tit for tat.

Ch 20 Dragon Squeeze
“She waited for it to go viral, or at least get one ‘like’ from her sister.”
Adi is a spoiled, materialistic, and attention loving dragon.
She’s proud of causing mayhem and getting arrested.

“Take me gumdrop, I’m yours!”
There’s also a method to her madness and some fun lessons about not judging books by their covers. This was all in good fun and I loved that Dexter was the geeky human to her vampy dragon.

Ch44 Dragon Unleashed
“His honor was shiny; his balls very blue.”
This one’s proof that book smart doesn’t mean street smart. Considering both of them have doctorates, they were amazingly dense when it came to reading the room. But, that’s what made the hate flirting so funny. Tomas was such a peacock and overly concerned with being emasculated, and yet he was the perfect foil for Chandra, an on the shelf woman longing to burn. The conspiracy plot may be pretty basic, but the campy romance is strong.

Finally, a sassy powerful heroine character that is well-written and makes sense

Minor spoiler: the sassy powerful heroines are extremely strong dragons. I understand how ppl get irritated at “book girl boss” characters because they’re usually just regular people in contemporary romance who aren’t anything or haven’t done anything to deserve acting so high and mighty. And they’re usually written by new authors who haven’t learned the trade of writing 3 dimensional characters.

These girls are not that. I’ve only read books 1&2 so far, but I can with confidence this author knows exactly who she’s writing. They are dragons. The hoarding kind. The “everything I want and take and add to my hoard is mine” kind. The most intensely prideful kind. The ACTUAL alphas in feminine form kind. Where if someone were to actually knock them down a peg, they would lose all sense of reality.

The attitude, the actions, their words, literally everything fits for these FMC heroines and nothing they do or say is out of place for who they are.

What makes these romances unique and very interesting is how the MMCs fit in their world. They’re not cinnamon roll betas in the slightest and that clash/tension is fun to watch unfold. The mysticism in mates, claiming, and so on makes it even more fun.

These aren’t your run of the mill paranormal romance stories w/ conflicted human FMCs. This is something unique and better, imo. And all 3 books in one credit is definitely worth the purchase.

Good read, but becoming predictable

I enjoyed the stories and the characters were fairly good, but by the third book it was becoming more predictable. The main couples all have an element of hate/disdain, and the struggle to not be attracted/in love. It is almost a bit high schooling. Aside from the spicy love scenes it could be a young adult book. Honestly, I could take or leave the love scenes as well, as they don't add anything of substance to the book as a whole. I do love that Eve is able to write the spice without making it sound like the characters are ashamed or shy about their needs. The narration was great and brought the quirks out in the characters as well as their inner beasts.

It’s a good listen

It keeps you wanting to listen to all the books to see how the major story line will end but there is just something missing that doesn’t pull me to binge listen.

Decent Deal

3 books for 1 credit was quite the deal. However I would not have continued the second and third book if there where not all packaged together for 1 credit. The character dynamics are somewhat interesting the performance does the writing justice but that is saying a whole log.
