About this listen

Deathmatch is now a number-one best seller in postapocalyptic science fiction, number one in dystopian science fiction, number one in military science fiction, and number one in war fiction.

Humanity's most fearsome enemy is no longer death.

Alpha and Marsoc meet their match

Lurking in the bush is the dark shadow cast by the operators - a terrifying force every bit their equal in skill, ferocity, and sheer resolve...but utterly unconstrained by humanity, compassion, or brotherhood. Now, to complete their mission and save the world, the operators will have to pay with their lives, or their souls, or possibly both.

One troop descends into hell

Rolling the dice on a last-ditch plan to save London by retrieving the Kazakh's zombie-annihilating virus, Jameson leads his last best men into the dragon's den - an underground bunker home to the savage and hyperskilled Spetsnaz Alfa group. Getting out alive is a million-to-one shot - and then their real problems begin.

The Kennedy is burning

The world's deadliest maritime commando force were made homeless when their battlecruiser went to the bottom of the Atlantic. Now they're looking for payback - and a replacement nuclear-powered warship. But not only is the whole JFK in play - so is Dr. Park, his vaccine design, and thus the fate of the entire world.

Narration is hands down one of the best...I mean it's RC Bray duh
Storyline is brilliant.
Every time I think: it can't get any worse,it does
No way are they going to survive, well most do
They're finally done, not by a long shot
Yet it isn't frustrating because the missions are so dire it makes sense. I love how the different groups circumstances' are herding them together I can't wait for the next book.

Another awesome thrill ride

This story is terrific. I am compelled to listen to it and enjoy every verbal page turn. I really connect with many of the characters good and bad and continue to think how great that this was a movie and more over how I could see this story playing out in a real life scenario.

Best yet!

Love the Arisen series, non stop action and surprises. R C Bray delivers as always.

best series

RC Bray is one of my favorite narrators, and does another fantastic job. At first I thought I missed part of the book when there was no marines, but boy was I wrong. Book picks you up and never puts you down.

Can't say enough good things about this series

Any additional comments?

THE best zombie/military series out there, bar none, and I believe I've read most of them. Unlike other books in this genre, these authors aren't afraid to make the zombie hordes as dangerous as they should be, the guts as gory as they would be, and the characters as shell shocked as could be expected. On the zombie side it stays scary yet (near)believable, and on the military side they capture one thing that other authors can not: as one SEAL who was consulting for Hollywood said "Our combat is faster and more violent than can be filmed"(para).. these guys actually begin to capture the 'finesse, flare, and smiling contempt of danger' that special operators see as normal everyday business. The military side of these novels would shine even if the enemy wasn't zombies, the zombie side would shine even if the military side didn't absolutely foxtrot rock(and it does!)

Again, Bravo Zulu!

Where does Deathmatch rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This series is one of the best I've listened to. Excellent reader, great characters, non stop action. Strongly suggest this series but would have the listener start at the beginning. Yes, it is about Zombies but so much more. The only warning, you may miss meetings because you stay in your car to continue to listen to this story. Very exciting.

Awesome is all I can say!
