It's funny, but I've picked up and reviewed a fair number of books and audiobooks about decluttering, yet I am resistant to it (though I know I need to do it)! When I first started listening to this book. I didn't want the straightforward and assertive narrator bossing me around! LOL! That just shows the level of my resistance. They suckered me in with the idea of five easy steps and starting with just a small part of my house. I have a relatively small kitchen, and the space certainly is not currently set up for easy use. The audiobook is just over an hour long, and while I can't say all the suggestions completely won me over, when I went back into my kitchen and started working on dinner, I was looking at it completely differently. I feel like I will need to listen to this book several times for it to completely win me over and get me decluttering my kitchen, but at least, I'm a little closer! This book needed to have a chapter on mindset, for those of us who are resistant to decluttering, though we know we should. This audiobook includes a PDF of the book, which I appreciate, and I will probably go through, making notes as I plan my kitchen decluttering. I didn't really get a distinct sense of five steps—and the PDF has no table of contents—and to my mind, what is outlined is certainly not easy. For me, at least, even though it's a small space, I have much to sort through and organize. Oddly, the end section of the book is about meal planning, which didn't quite go along with the idea of kitchen decluttering. I know that meal planning is a popular book topic, but it felt tacked on and tangential. If you are interested in decluttering, and starting with a small space in your home, getting started in the kitchen with this audiobook may be helpful.
