About this listen

A young man lies dead in a Coldharbour alley. Before his death, he uncovered secrets that could threaten the mortal world above and the faerie world below. Now, to find the murderer and protect both realms, Sir Michael Deven will need the help of a man with reason to hate the fae of the Onyx Court -- the victim's own brother.

A novella of the Onyx Court, set between Midnight Never Come and In Ashes Lie, in the years 1621-1625.

Excellent quick listen

This is a quick follow up to book 1 of the Onyx Court series. It focuses on mortal characters rather than the fairies. I enjoyed getting the perspective of new characters responding to the world created in book 1. Though it's connected to the series, it stands alone very well.

Story is good but not worth a whole credit at this length

The story is good and gives us a connection as time passes but the 2 hour length makes it not really worth a full credit. Will I return it? No.
