Never heard of EFT but it seemed to work for me. I was pretty skeptical because yoga never worked as much as I tried. My thoughts were constantly on a gerbil wheel. I desperately needed to quiet my mind without drugs - or any other unnatural thing. The author's explanation of moving from overdrive to calm was transformational for me.

The techniques are something you can do immediately. It's in your hands to do it. I wake up a little clearer and ready to go. I'm working on that. I am a type A personality, and I felt like this book was written for me and my friends. I have to get two of them to listen. It will change how they feel too.

I was skeptical of tapping at first, but restless nights motivated me to try anything and everything to get some sleep. I figured it wouldn't hurt to try it and if it actually helped I'd be the first to shout it from the mountain tops! This audiobook walks you through a short tapping method that helps calm the mental chatter before bed. You don't have to buy anything or follow a complicated routine. I’ve started using it when I feel wired at night and I can honestly say I’ve been falling asleep a little faster and waking up less drained. The narration is warm and encouraging, with a tone that's direct but soothing (without being cloyingly sweet). The steps are easy to follow, even when you’re already exhausted. Beyond the clear explanations in the early chapters, I found it extremely helpful to be able to select an EFT tapping sequence that addresses what you're feeling in-the-moment. This can be more effective in tackling specific sleep issues (racing thoughts, or I'm so tired but can't sleep, e.g.), or when a general mediation and other tactics haven't worked. This book will help you approach your body and sleep with "curiosity", rather than severe expectations that only make stress cycles worse.
