Publisher's summary

After a harrowing experience in the ancient Elven monastery, Jaden turns his attention to his studies at the Free Academy. But it's not long before Devourer's machinations are revealed and Jaden is forced to leave the Hidden City.

But he isn't leaving alone. He is joined by his friends, Seekers like him, with bonds to their own Legendary Beasts.

Together, they will face terrible horrors and seemingly insurmountable odds brought on by Devourer's quest for dominance of not only Jaden's world, but all others in the Polyverse.

Another great one!

These books are very enjoyable. I'm looking forward to book 3, and hopefully, there is gonna be more than just 4 books. I'm hoping for at least six altogether. I really like series like this.

It's so...... boring

I want to like this series, deep down. I love dragons, I love magic, but something about this series isn't clicking. Maybe it's the fact that we see the MC getting stronger, but it doesn't seem to matter. he has dragon fire, but the first enemies he comes up against are completely unaffected.

He can dry up a swamp, but something under illusion magic can avoid being burned?

For no given explanation his previous love interest, part of the main 4 cast members is shoved aside for a new person who is such a genius that she Mary sued her way into being the best without instruction like literally every other person.

These kids also don't understand war. Let's leave these zealot soldiers alive and give up 1/6th of our party away.

which also, BTW, that fight was only put there to eliminate the previous love interest. The MC should have handled the immortal easily, and the rest of the party should have wiped the soldiers without effort.

but the author here seems dedicated to only killing enemies when needed, without actually providing any reasons for the borderline pacifistic nature these characters are showing.

they lost 2 members of their party cause they didn't want to kill. a mission to save the world, but let's jeapordize that with some good ole pacifism.
