Modern life in the digital world is full of sounds, words, and images bombarding us 24/7. All these distractions can make it a challenge for young children to focus, quiet their minds, and wind down when it’s time for bed. Zero is just one of 20,000 people aboard a spaceship bound for a new planet set to be colonized. The journey is over a century long but luckily, everyone is in stasis, so they’ll be safe and sound asleep during the trip. Everyone that is, except for Zero, whose pod has malfunctioned, waking him up a hundred years early. His initial excitement in roaming the ship alone quickly turns to a heart-stopping interstellar adventure when a family of space pirates show up, trying to hijack the ship and take the colonizers hostage.

Story
Some people insist that culture is strictly a human feat. What are they afraid of? This book looks into three cultures of other-than-human beings in some of Earth's remaining wild places. It shows how if you're a sperm whale, a scarlet macaw, or a chimpanzee, you too experience your life with the understanding that you are an individual in a particular community. You too are who you are not by genes alone; your culture is a second form of inheritance. And your culture, too, changes and evolves.

Feathers are an evolutionary marvel: Aerodynamic, insulating, beguiling. They date back more than 100 million years. Yet their story has never been fully told. In Feathers, biologist Thor Hanson details a sweeping natural history, as feathers have been used to fly, protect, attract, and adorn through time and place. Applying the research of paleontologists, ornithologists, biologists, engineers, and even art historians, Hanson asks: What are feathers? How did they evolve? What do they mean to us?

Story
Birds, Jim Robbins posits, are our most vital connection to nature. They compel us to look to the skies, both literally and metaphorically, draw us out into nature to seek their beauty, and let us experience vicariously what it is like to be weightless. Birds have helped us in so many of our human endeavors: learning to fly, providing clothing and food, and helping us better understand the human brain and body.

Who knew dinosaurs could be so interesting?
I thought this book would be quite dry but surprisingly, it was really entertaining! My daughter is into dinosaurs so I listened along with her. I love how the author presents unique facts about each type of dinosaur. I most enjoyed the locations where each dinosaur lived. The narrator does a wonderful job and I could listen to him all day. A great find!

Everything Dinosaurs, Super cool!
My son has a new friend now, he just can't stop listening to this audiobook again, and again. It is fun to listen to, and it is very informative. We all listened to the audiobook along with my little boy, and I can see how this book can be fascinating to our little one. It's got each chapter dedicated to a dinosaur each with all the full details, and there is always something to giggle about. A really fun time for the whole family. Highly recommended.

Great fun details and entertaining!
My youngest loves dinosaurs, and he loved this audiobook as well. It's great that it's divided up into different chapters that are each devoted to a specific dinosaur because then he can jump to his favorites. But he has enjoyed learning about some that he never paid attention to before, and in a couple of cases, had never heard of. Great fun details and entertaining!
