About this listen

Contains all three books in The Jane Harper Trilogy: The Sentinel, The Raven, and The Host.

In the icy darkness of the Arctic Ocean, a violent showdown between ruthless whale hunters and fervent environmentalists ends in explosive catastrophe: both ships sinking into the frigid abyss. Marooned on a desolate island, the survivors, now bitter enemies, are forced into an uneasy truce to withstand the merciless cold.

Enter Jane Harper: undercover agent, razor-sharp and unflinching, wielding her wit as deftly as her fists. As she rallies the fractured group, they stumble upon ancient Viking ruins and awaken something primal and terrifying.

Deep beneath the frozen ground, the Draugar stir. Undying Vikings walk the Earth again, controlled by hive-mind parasites connected by three sinister queens. Capable of subjugating and preserving all mammalian life, they see the world through ambitious eyes, spreading to any creature they can find—bears, whales, and even people.

With time slipping away and the body count climbing, Jane must unravel the mystery of these parasites—whose origins may lie beyond the stars—and confront an unimaginable horror that transcends death itself. She fights not just for survival, but to prevent an unspeakable menace from consuming the world.

With The Sentinel, #1 Audible and New York Times bestselling author Jeremy Robinson unlocks his demented mind, claws into the dark recesses of his imagination, and plucks out a tale of horror, humor, science fiction, and heart, that will keep you listening even as the dead pile up.

we finally get the conclusion!!

first of all, don't hesitate, grab the the trilogy now. I've been a big fan of the first two books for a long time and dying for the third book. and now we have it. and it was worth it.

Eva kaminsky does a fantastic job bringing Jane Harper to life. delivering the story in a way that keeps you wanting to listen to more.

the first two books deliver a solid early Jeremy Robinson experience that you don't want to mess.

for the third book, the first 2/3 lines up perfectly with the first two books. absolutely loved it. the final third is definitely modern Jeremy Robinson. which isn't a bad thing! but it was a little jarring.

i will say, i wish the "host" was different. I felt like it was a missed opportunity because the whole buildup I thought "maybe it's something even worse?" that is all I will say. it still worked and I'm still very happy with it.

the only complaint I have is the poop joke scene. you'll recognize it when you get to it. it helps add some light-heartedness, but it really takes away from the scene. but that is the only complaint I have.

overall a fantastic trilogy. well worth the wait. and maybe, just maybe, we'll see Jane Harper again. if you love Jeremy Robinson, it's a no-brainer, you need to pick this book up right now.

Jeremy if you're reading this, you did a great job.
thank you for giving Jane Harper the ending she deserved.

Eva, if you're reading this, thank you for breathing life into Jane Harper. And I hope you come back for more Robinson books.

A Great Three Book Series

Vikings, zombie whales, and one badass heroine - how can you go wrong? I loved the first two Jane Harper books and was thrilled when I found out book three was in the works. What made it even better was that all three books were being released as one book/audiobook. That is a ton of entertainment for a small price. I love how this series mixes horror with humor, and being with these characters for three books made them feel like family. The narration for the audiobook was excellent and Eva Kaminsky did a great job of capturing Jane's personality. Thank you Jeremy Robinson for giving us this final installment in this high octane series-it was well worth the wait!

Sooo

I am a devoted JR reader and love all of the fascinating characters in the multiverse he's created. I have every book and they are all fantastic. That said, the story was great but Jane Harper is pretty awful in every single way. It's like listening to an attention desperate frat boy who thinks he's hilarious and tough. But really, Jane is just arrogant, rude, inexperienced and unpleasant. The non stop juvenile response to every situation presented paints her as just an ugly (in spirit) little bully with dad issues. And there is literally zero chacter development. Anyone else in this series could have been the main character. I've never rooted hard for the hero to get flattened by a mammoth, but here we are.
*Still a rabid fan of this fantastic writers multiverse*
